there’s a lot of water in the Pacific map and it makes the Japanese special to play if it were added and they’ll give the allied players who fly in the sky something to do instead of just bombing soldiers on the beach.
And anyone’s free to expand or improve my idea or fill in any other type of gunboats I’m not aware of to be added because I am not a World War 2 specialist but still an idea.
And what are these ships will suppose to do?

True but it’s supposed to give firing support to take out an objective or capture one and you could technically take them out with an AT gun if they’re stupid enough to come into your kill zone or range.
Why would this only be restrain to the Japaneses? US also used gunboats and torpedo boats during the pacific campaign.
And as Adamnpee pointed out, people would surely abuse these mechanic by shelling the shores from long range, making them immune to anything . Some US PT boats were able to achieve 40 kn (roughly 75 km/h), trying to hit such a speedy boat would be rather difficult.
Like I said I am not a World War 2 specialist and i think the allies have enough toys to shred the Japanese in the Pacific Campaign Gray zone Camping M13 and flamethrower tanks and HVAR.
look i dont hate this but i gotta point out that jap has
superior player playing them(most of the time it seem) AT rifle that kill everything and that it i think unless there are more bs on jap side
What else can we give the Japanese they don’t have many things unless you wanna give them a bamboo spear is a weapon unlock so we may as well give them boats as well.
And do keep in mind when a true veteran team of allied Pacific players go against the Japanese they can kick the Japanese ass because the Japanese weapon sucked to a certain extent so the only thing the Japanese really have going for them is horde tactics otherwise not much else.
I am just waiting for 12cm of fun. That’s everything I need for my Japanese boys. I am very simple man.
Throwing more tanks at a campaign I do not think that fixes all the problems
I do enjoy Pacific currently. I rarely encountered one sided matches.
I really do not think this campaign has currently any significant problems, especially in comparison to Tunisia.
That’s because the allies are somewhat scared of the diehard fanatical Japanese charging out of the bushes and hordes like zombies and a good way to counter it is a good death Stack.
