New squad class: Medic

This is an important point. Doctors receive PP - that’s right. But there won’t be many stormtrooper squads in the new campaign. Medics will be available to you already at level 3, but they do not complement the attack aircraft, but replace one of the squads. Therefore, do not worry that the new campaign will become a battlefield for automatic weapons.

Plus we have VERY GOOD NEWS for the bolt action guys.

Okay,you have my interest here. Looking forward to those news.

But you say that there will not be many Assaulter squads in the new campaign - will other campaigns get some rest from automatics spam too? Maybe some system that will not allow you bring the same squad types one after the other?

yea i had the same trail of thought regarding that too.

I was kind of hoping they would add new stuff into the axis on the Moscow campaign epically small arms like the ZK-383 at the same level the Russians get the drum magazine ppd.

Wish they had flushed out existing campaigns with content and fixed bugs instead of adding another campaign.

This medic squad will replace the first assaulter squad in the new campaign (lvl3).

for me its ok, weapons doesnt matter i enjoy close combat in ruins so i play only berlin campain

Its already a starter submachine gun on two other campaigns please don’t let it be another starter submachine gun on the next. No offence its just lazy.

THIS 100%… This game doesn’t feel like its really paced to benefit from a “Medic” class the way that it is. To me, that means this class will totally change the way the game is played or won’t really be effective at all. Given I enjoy the playstyle of this game I don’t want to really slow it down to make a Medic class worthwhile and if it’s not going to change the playstyle there really isn’t much point in a Medic class IMO.

At first I was affraid of more full auto spam but if medics are somewhat exclusive with assaulters then I guess it might be ok. Even though I’d rather give them trooper weapons (what I’ll probably do) mainly for historical/aestetic reasons.

As for their healing function, currently I’d consider it a nice but pointless feature. Soldiers are very expendable so keeping them alive for 10s longer by healing them for 8s is kind of a bad deal.
If this changes, this class might be as useful as engineer.
But soon we will see how they will perform.

Another class and function great, not sure this was needed, I used to have one soldier with 4 medkits.
