Can’t find a better one than this sry, but you get the idea
Allow to peek throw high window and walls, does not affect the balance, no to difficult to introduce, for me is a nice and simple idea.
*through

But seriously, this isn’t a bad idea.
I could also see this as a good accompaniment for barbed wire to create “one-way” barbed wire, that your allies can climb over, but enemies can’t.
It would surely lead to some players using it to climb onto roofs and other places, where they aren’t supposed to go. But whatever, paras can already do that, so why not everyone else?
Great! I hadn’t thought of that, another nice feature
It’s just funny, so yes.
Also, like @59070988 said, jumping over wire would be really nice
Edit: that suggestion had to come from someone with a carpenter like name (renopro, renovation professional). It’s just perfect!
I think it’s an interesting idea.
Right now I’m using sandbags as scaffolding, but it would be nice if the sappers could build ladders.
I don’t know if there was a military ladder or what it was used in history, but I would like something with a design that doesn’t spoil the atmosphere of the battlefield…
During Korean War, Marines use scaling ladders to storm ashore at Inchon in amphibious invasion on September 15, 1950 (U.S. Marine Corps/National Archives and Records Administration/W.W. Frank)
This is an UK 1920s two-way ladder.

Is my dog name plus Pro
I like this evolution, I had only thought of it as a defensive tool since I mainly play defense.
Maybe two types of “steps”, I was thinking that since they are light they could be interactive objects for the whole team who can pick them up and move them as needed.
However I think they should be construction limited to the engineering squad only
Not against it, but sandbags fulfill the same role just fine…
im an attic lover in normandy
sometimes i noticed i cant deploy machinegun nest to shoot from one of the windows in the attic
cause it is too high
maybe i would find some use to the “step”

Also they could add a shelter which could absorb a small amount of damage from above before breaking
I don’t think that a step per say is necessarily the solution to that issue. I think windowed sandbags to begin with is perhaps a better solution. However, I would also like to see them bring back the ability to stack sandbags to couple with that.
As far as a way to better get up on top of things, I’ve suggested it before, but I’ll say it again:
the “unique fortification” of the SNIPER squad should be a ladder. Allowing you and teammates to actually access higher areas more reliably, and even opening up new pathways for flanks and entry to objectives.
Your idea is just to get more campers.
The role of the sniper is not to tan their backsides on the roof.
Their job is to follow friendly troops, eliminate HMGs and enemy snipers to aid friendly troops.
The sandbag with the windows( i would like to have them) have a different purpose
I had intended the step just to peek and shoot in existing fortifications, such as windows that are too high in some houses or low man-height walls (the game is full of them)
"unique fortification of the SNIPER
“new pathways for flanks and entry to objectives.”
Sniper should be only supportive in my opinion, a construction that give the possibility to flank defender houses should be of the engineer squad.
The thing is that there are 2 types of sniper squad setups.
- Primarily focuses on snipers and keeping them supplied, using them from long range, etc. (I don’t have a problem with this, a buddy of mine does and is very helpful to the team.)
- Focuses not just on snipers but other soldier types as well. It uses the snipers from a closer distance to eliminate MG nests and people in windows, while the others are able to push forward.
I’ve seen so many complaints recently about sniper players sitting in the back and not helping the team, I thought this
might help to make it worthwhile for them to push up as well.
