Is there any way we could get the new plane weapon as free2play players
According to devs, there should be event with equivalent of new planes.
But it could be still trash af.

Im waiting to see what the event plane is…I love the Hellcat, but I bet if i bought that the free one would be the corsair 
It doesn’t need to be in pacific campaign at all.

I am just referring to past. When paras came, premiums ones were in Normandy with new map. But event ones were released in Pacific.

the only italian planes in the editor that are not included are non-ai versions of the sm.79
That sounds too good to be an event reward… I’m more inclined to think the actual event plane(s) would be borderline meme vehicles, like the Gaz truck AA.

Yeah but murphies law…if i went and bought hellcat…something like that bound to happen.
After checking, it seems like no Italian WWII plane was equipped with drop tanks, except maybe the German-supplied Bf109s.

checks out with what’s in War thunder anyway. Just the 109s (Italian tree).
Didn’t honestly think it would be an Italian plane. Just wishful thinking.
But yeah, with the other possibility of the event planes being similar (copy paste), best to wait.
I’m kinda skeptical about the upcoming event plane(s) being 1:1 copies of the premium versions.
If so, the Devs would be shooting themselves in both feet, because this would sabotage the future sales of those premiums and enrage those who already bought them, while at the same time the general playerbase would accuse them of being lazy.

Not really if it’s just another 4 day event like mp41 (r)/lanchester 50.
But it would be lame nevertheless.
Well, virtually every current dedicated player who hasn’t bought those premiums yet would just get the event versions and not buy the premiums anymore in the future, leaving only the potential purchases of future whales. That would be a significant chunk of missed income.
But then again, that’s just my speculations.
