Kokoda Track campaign has everything (environmentally speaking) that the current campaigns lack: a mix of dense jungle foliage and high, snowy mountain peaks. Japanese v. ANZAC infantry, basically a perfect balance. Vehicles are practically irrelevant but can be replaced by towed heavy weapons (HMGs, heavy mortars, AA guns and small-caliber howitzers). Bonus points for dynamic wildlife (fish and coral in the water, birds that scatter when you shoot into the trees, ground fowl and lizards that come shooting out of bushes) and weather effects.
Cmon Gaijin, make us proud. No more Russians and Germans fer christ sakes.

I’d probably not play it, I love my eastern front content, but I’m all for other campaigns being added. New maps, new weapons, new possibilities.
Sure, why not.

I would prefer new maps to the Stalingrad campaign. The grain silo, the Dzerzhinsky Tractor Plant, the Pavlov house - there are some iconic locations to be added. Also a city location with sewer tunnels would be interesting.
95% of all the iconic battle locations are lacking in this game for some reason. Whether we are talking about Stalingrad, Normandy, Tunisia or Moscow. Most of the maps are at obscure locations. The devs just refuse to add iconic areas. I don’t know why.
How can you create a Stalingrad campaign for example without Pavlov’s House, Mamayev area, Red October factory, The green grain silo and whatnot.

I’m sure they’re planning on adding those in future updates.
Personally I’d be happier if they’d put in some areas from the wider Operation Uranus front - Kalach, Pitomnik, Hoth’s counterattack etc. Give those nice new tanks some open ground to slug it out on. Also, there should be a map with the Soviets defending the Volga docks.

All that being said though - you can milk the Eastern Front endlessly, but people are gonna get sick of playing the same thing over and over again. The Pacific would be a very much needed change of pace.
I’m still a big fan of the idea of bringing the NRA into the fight, even if Stalingrad makes a Shanghai campaign a bit repetitive. But if that really can’t be done for legal reasons, I think New Guinea is the next best thing.
I’m a big fan of the eastern front myself, I played nearly a thousand hours of Red Orchestra 2. But we do need variation and I want to see a pacific campaign a-la Rising Storm. It’s also a campaign that is very easily looked over. Variation is crucial. That being said, they will need to rework the campaigns a bit. Having the small playerbase stretched across 6 campaigns isn’t going to work.
I think that iconic places will come to Stalingrad. Just give them more time.
I already saw some forum topics about how boring it is as the maps are the same. The campaign just launched and I really dont see the sense in adding 12 maps to the game. Personally I prefer to play the same map 500 times in order to understand the structure of it, enemy movements and find perfect locations for the rally point, tanks etc. .
Have a look at Berlin. There is nothing more iconic than the battle of the Reichstag or the soviet advance through the Hermann Göring Straße.
A pacific campaign will come for sure. But it is not what the game needs right now. It needs stability and more hotfixes for various issues.

Berlin is the same from the cbt they have added only 20 map variation of the single same map and the armored train map divided in other map variantion, and no reichstaig hahahaahhahahaahahahahahahah

Dude you are right. It is not the Reichstag. It is just the cancellors office. Sorry, once again you correct me. Chapeau.
The reichstaig stop at the Königsplatz to be fair but the same map is recycled for the kroll opera hause and the 4 moat variation, the reich cancellery has 3 invasion 1 conquest map, the train station 2 invasion 1 conquest 1 destruction, armored train escort 2 escort 1 invasion
Practically berlin is 4 map over and over again recycled, this is a shame the fall of Berlin really need all the love they have for the game

The Kodaka might be balanced, but I don’t know if they could get 40 levels out of it. IMO it’s best to do something in 1945 where the devs can excuse the inclusion of things like the type 4 rifle and Chi-Nu to balance things like the Garand and Sherman.
I don’t know well about ANZAC’s weapon, but did they have any unique weapons? I afraid their weapon will be copy & paste of allies in Tunisia and Normandy.
If possible, China vs Japan would be great: both are completely new function and both had various unique weapons. (I can’t agree political problem spammed in this forum)
Australia has a few interesting things like the Owen SMG, but I don’t know if they can get 40 levels out of it. Furthermore, from what I read the only tanks in the Kodoka campaign are the Stuarts and Ha-Gos, with the closest American approximation to the Ha Go the M8 Greyhound not in production until after the campaign closed, and the closest Japanese approximation to the Stuart the Chi Ha Kai not being in production until well into the campaign.
Edit: If you really want a China vs Japan, I think Hong Kong would work. You can get those interesting weapons and tanks without the geopolitical issues of today.
