This is intended for those wondering if the new gold weapons from this season are worth using a gold order for. The answer is: don’t even think, buy asap.
What I’ve got:
cönders smg, both in Normady and Berlin. A real oddity. it works exactly like a ppsh41 would, but belt fed (so a bit more ammo, 100 per belt, 400 total!!! with big ammo pack) it has NO recoil and unlike ppsh41 you do not get blinded by shell casings or firing “flash”. Really funny to use. Very high rof, similar to ppsh41. Bullets are really weak at range however (compared to the mp43 you should have by then).
LAD: Only in Berlin sadly, meaning you can get 2 at max. But what a marvel! Perfect ROF. No recoil. No blinding bullet flash. 150(!!!) bullets per belt! An absolute joy to use. Get asap.
NOTE: the LAD, due to his very big 150 ammo belt, have some unique mechanic coming with it. Used as is, it DOES NOT come with refil ammo. you have your 150 ammo belt and that’s it. You can use a small ammo pouch to get another spare 150 ammo belt (totaling 300). HOWEVER. the big ammo bag DOES NOT gives more ammunition than a small one! still 150. So gentlemen, when using the LAD, equip this old small ammo pouch you got from your campaign debut, the big ammo bag is wasted here.
shower pipe lanchester/Sten alien experiment hybrid: I still don’t have it. But it looks hilarious due to the absurd rof it possess. My next target.
I haven’t, but I seriously never needed any either (300 is plenty if not too trigger happy). Just wanting to warn others that they don’t need to use a big ammo bag, since it has the same effect as a small one for that unique beautiful piece
If you can translate this game to historical facts I guess you could say that it was a good thing for the allies forces that Wehrmacht didn’t approve Cönder MG.
Fun little fact about the LAD, you can only get two of them from berlin and irl only two were made so if you get two you can rp that you’ve the only two guns in the world
Got it and tried it, an ugly freak that plays fun and perfect to storm buildings. It chews through belts pretty fast. At the firing range it feels noticeably less accurate than MP40 or such, tho, even in short bursts about 15-20% of bullets fly WAY off.
Bought and tested in practice mode so far: Even though I agree 300 rounds last long enough, I think that large ammo pouch should nonetheless provide an extra belt and that the current situation may be either a bug or an oversight.
Also, while it’s very comfortable to fire thanks to low recoil and decent sights, this one appears to share the same poor accuracy as the former. Which makes less sense in this case, since we’re talking about a downscaled MG with a long barrel.
Obviously it shouldn’t be as accurate as a full calibre MG, but it feels less accurate than a PPD or a PPSH, which doesn’t feel right.
BTW
What’s with Devs now giving some SMG crappy accuracy with no reason? Also the weapons of the Aussie event squad are inaccurate as hell.
Bought it in Pacific (Anything to avoid using Owens) and tested in battle. Pretty much your average 9mm SMG, with good ROF, and thankfully decent accuracy in this case. Not exceptionally good, nor either bad, worth it for the meme factor, no regret.
Eheheh, it’s the perfect description for it. Such an oddity. But so funny to use. It’s indeed “meh” accurate, but I hardly notice if only thanks to to sheer volume of lead it spits.
As for the LAD, I’m not certain it’s a bug… Maybe they said to themselves “400 is already borderline bonkers, but 450 is past our limit”… But yeah, uncertain. I certainly would not mind a supplementary belt that’s for sure.
