Like it is safe to say that WT tank helmets are better fitting and done even after 12 or so years.

Also btw guys, do stuff like armor and helmets actually affect survivability of the soldiers in game like stop pistol round or two at longer range?
Does anyone have experience with it?

From what I remember for whatever reason Japan is the only nation without any damage reduction on helmets. Every other nation has about 10-15% so just enough to survive a pistol or SMG headshot at range

Yet again. Unfair disadvantage for Japan? Why would that be the case? Japanese helmets were well made.

Yeah it’s very very strange why Japan has that hidden disadvantage. I don’t believe any of the helpers have said anything about it. I could have missed it but so far no idea if it’ll be fixed

I’ve seen that some officer caps in the uniform customizations offer protection against headshots, but I don’t know if Japan has similar options. It’s already a major disadvantage that the Soviets have torso armor that reduces damage by 10%, which doesn’t mesh well with the capabilities of the 8mm Nambu.

Officer caps? I thought just helmets and armor.
I gave many options for body armor. So Japan should get too if its really the case that it protects them.

Yes, there are several uniform, caps, and helmets options, is more noticeable in other factions like Germany and Russia. Japan, so far, simply maintains the standard that’s been in the game since the Pacific campaigns. Even with the Burma and Manchuria updates, they haven’t added anything truly new, while the other factions already have adjustable uniforms depending on the campaign or front.
Quite a few pictures have been seen of Japanese soldiers with torso armor, mostly from the Second Sino-Japanese War. There’s so much we don’t know about that front, but there are quite a few things from there that could be added. Even so, the developers don’t seem to pay much attention to the Japanese faction in general, unlike the Soviet faction, especially since torso armor makes them particularly strong at lower tiers.

I love this post, we really need more customizations for the Japanese. They basically have default only outfits and almost no camo. Like it was said above they used camo extensively even a few basic universal camos and hat/helmets for every squad would go a long way.

Well, the truth is we need winter uniforms. There are quite a few uniforms and certain details seen in images from the Second Sino-Japanese War that would be perfect inspirations for customizations, like the special landing unit of marines with gas masks in the Battle of Shanghai.

I made it twice so that one is like official suggestion and one is for ppl to discuss. As in WT forum also nothing gets added/considered if its not actuall suggestion.
But thank you for detailed poll. I dont really see reason why would anyone not want those tbf. Japan was done the worst when it comes to costomization.
I completely agree, even now they are missing many items that they need. Snipers, mortar for high BR, planes, etc. They really got done dirty with what they have and the long wait to get new things that make a difference.

Unless you meant like actuall glasses. Which would be very silly given everyone had “round” glasses in that time period…
Yeah i mean those glasses… i know its dumb to say they are goofy or silly cuz they weren’t dumb back then but nowdays i see those in a very cartoonish way but that doesn’t mean i don’t like them nor want them in game… they would make a great addition for everyone (japanese/axis) also please add facial hair
