I have noticed, lately, because i have been playing Tunisa again recently, after having spent most of my time in the Pacific, that some of the great Tunisian maps are being cluttered up with wrecks that are messing up some of the great LOS that existed.
I really enjoyed being able to dual with tanks at something other than point blank range, and one of the best things about the Tunisian maps was that they offered decent fields of fire on the flanks and cover for infantry in the centers.
Now its seams the clutter monster has been let out and is messing things up?
Tanks were slaughtering infantry far too easily. Currently tank wrecks are one of the only ABSOLUTELY solid structures and can’t be removed by bombers or other methods, making them solid sources of cover.
There are still plenty of places to set up MG nests and field guns that bypass the added wrecks, but it reduces the effectiveness of tanks to prevent people from sitting in them all game long and treating it like a shooting gallery.
Why give all these MG’s to the Engineers to place if they don’t want them used to mow down Infantry?
Why give the Players tanks if they don’t want them to Kill things, then Neuter their MG’s with long reload times and overheating routines that defy reality.
Why make almost all the maps so frustrating to drive tanks on that many avoid playing on them if there at all interested in tanking?
The game is clearly infantry centric, the map design the horrible vehicle driving conditions the cocking blocked LOS issues, cxc, but hear is the rub…
Why cant people be expected to be responsible for the choices they make in game, if their dumb enough to run out into the open and get plastered by a tank or MG why is that not on them, Tunisa has always had a decent amount of cover since it’ inception, why now do they add this clutter to it?
My man I drive Panzer IV in Stalingrad against KV-1s and still finish on the top of my team against all odds even though these maps are the most infantry centric and even 1 random joe is enough to destroy me if he gets close.
Just adjust to the environment, a good tanker needs brains.
As I see it you are just complaining that you need start using your brain.
MG NEED a suppression mechanic implemented. No suppression makes MGs almost pointless. If this feature was implemented enlisted would be an infinitely better game. People would stop running out in the open if they were getting suppressed.
