I don’t think I’d be satisfied if they wrapped everything up with just one more campaign.
I really like a pacific campaign to be added, but I would prefer maybe a map such as Iwo Jima or maybe Okinawa since those are very memorable battles in the history books.
I am hoping for all of it.
First of all mad props to this suggestion, well thought out and I am confident the next campaign will be the island hopping campaign led by the US Navy and Marines.
Personally, I always thought it would be cool to see the Manchurian invasion of 1945 fought over by the Soviets and the Japanese. Could include everything from Early to Late war as far as campaign level unlocks go as well and not to mention the unique factor of USSR fighting the Empire of Japan
It is a nicely done suggestion, the US didn’t use the Enfield rifle, if you must have a bolt action rifle you could use the Springfield, but they weren’t really being used by the US at this time for Frontline troops, the George was not to be found during this campaign, but that wouldn’t of stopped them necessarily from adding it as they have a history of adding things to campaigns that didn’t actually have them.
The Navy’s 341st Air Corps was stationed, but at that time it seems that they sortie in Zero Fighter due to the delay in deploying Shiden / George. It may be better to introduce the Type 0 Model 52 Otsu instead.
As for rifles, this is a tentative list. Navy Seabees in charge of supply and landing support had the M1917, but would have had less chance to participate in the battle.
Oh god not another one, This game became Botlisted everysingle game I get bots as teammates
That is another very good idea!
USSR VS. Japan.
No one else has made that? I mean, there are few maps in the War Thunder for example Kharkin Ghol for flying but that is literally it?
It would also solve the balancing issue nicely, Mosin Nagants vs. Arisakas and so on.
Even the tanks of that era were more balanced, not so great Soviet armor vs. Not so great Japanese armor?
Planes could be bi-planes and IL-16 could be the “Biggest awesome reward” after sinking 1000+ hours in to the campaign
You could have fighst in the oil fields, villages, some city/ town fight included and really beautiful nature on it as well? Very different, but beautiful open areas (This would become a bolt-lock rifle fantasy land anyway?) and it would all come together very nicely.
O, your talking about the 30’s , not 45, ya the 30’s might be interesting, 45 would be pretty lopsided, with a JS III
I am OK with both of the ideas?
As long as JAPAN is included, it would really help the Axis side to have something different as an option too and besides the U.S side has like 1,5 campaigns into it?
British have 1?
Soviets already have 3 campaigns?
I know/ Have noticed that this game is very popular on Russia and that seems to be very vibrant market on online gaming? That is why I would be more than glad with Manchuria Campaign?
It would allow the USSR to be one of the sides yet again, while giving the Japanese a change too?
- Besides, it would be REVOLUTIONARY in the online gaming, especially on the FSP gaming because NO ONE else has EVER made that?
The George is ok time frame wise though, they were in service them, and it is arguably the best IJN fighter of the 44/45 time frame the Zero being well past it’s sell by date, the Jack was also a great plane of course, and you do need something than can compete with the late war US Navy planes on a more even footing, the Hell cat was not that much better than the Zero performance wise, but the F4U was
Of course, the:
FM-2 vs A6M5
Hellcat vs Jack
F4U vs K1K2
Would also work, I kind of forgot about the FM-2 for a second
Thank you @19307910 I truly think even just an event would be a nice homage. I am going to make a separate post soon suggesting it as an event because I concede that the Pacific campaigns will most likely focus on the US VS Japanese.
this would be its real-life counter part
I have also posted before.
Good to see that there are more people who agree with this and have a similar mindset concerning the game.
It is always a delight to you find out that you are not alone with your thoughts!
Yes, you are an inspiration for me actually !
Советские восточные кампании - I credited your work on a Russian forum post. I am glad you have noticed this, thank you for helping with your ideas. Khalkhin Gol and Manchuria are very fascinating and mysterious in my western imagination. I think this is the perfect game to portray it! I don’t think a Western EU or USA based developer team would even consider it
Personally I think that the game industry needs to use more of the “forgotten” fronts of the WWII if they really want to have an edge on the market these days.
For example, my generation has played FPS games for 20 years.
It really takes a lot to impress my generation with new surroundings and new things inside the FPS game, especially if it is WWII based.
However, Enlisted has done very good job with it my so far, for example: There are weapons that I knew that existed but have not really seen them on other WWII FPS:s and already plenty of content that I have not really seen in other WWII games overall.
What comes to surroundings, yes… Manchuria or Khalkhin Gol would be FIRST of its kind and attract especially Russian online players that seem to have very good representation in this game?
