Although I appreciate the development team’s response to player complaints during this period of time, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to nerfing semi-automatic weapons to this point at this time.
Putting aside historical issues, full-power automatic weapons already have an overwhelming advantage in the game, and now you have nerfing semi-automatic weapons to the point where they can hardly compete with them, In this case, how can new players survive the long and painful period until they get the first usable automatic weapon especially in the battles of Normandy and Moscow’s Axis? I have already unlocked AVS36 in Berlin and FG42-2 in Normandy, so I know very well how much advantage they have to players who don’t even have a machine gun.
This problem is even more serious for the offensive side. Let’s suppose that a new player joins the Battle of Normandy and is mainly playing the Allied forces. That means mainly playing offensive , so how can he use a nerfed M1Carbines or M1Garland to fight with fortified players with MG34 or even FG42? Or he can only and should only camping at longrange?
Yeah, you can say that they can still use submachine guns and other types of tactical equipment, but submachine guns still have a very limited effective range and versatility compared to semi-automatic weapons, not to mention that submachine guns that use pistol cartridge still cant effective against full-caliber fully automatic weapons at close range. As for the grenade: what I want to say is why new players have to be forced to use a single solution instead of at least some decent gaming experience?
I’m not even bothered by this, I admit that I really like the original experience of semi-automatic weapons in game and feels bad for this change but I have already unlocked a lot of late-stage weapons, I just think this change is not an improvement to the overall balance of the game.
