Fire is too op. Just 2 teams with flamethrower is enough to clean an obj and kill all the squads. And just by touching fire a little bit is enough to catch fire and take 80% health after fire’s out. It will be much better to use fire’s friendly fire damage system instead of the current ones and yea do something about the fire through wall bugs
Fire is a bit odd at the moment, especially with somehow igniting into a fireball just by stepping on a flame which is very annoying if you have either enemies that spam Molotovs or allies that do so, not mention the bug of flames going through walls so maybe a meter to show how close you are to catching on fire (such as something akin to a health/stamina bar that when it fills up you catch on fire) instead of everyone pouring gasoline on themselves before every battle. Does need a bit of work on it, although I wouldn’t necessarily say the flamethrower by itself is overpowered (you only get 2 per squad and they’re targeted very heavily) only the bugs that come with it.
Only works when there´s not much cover between your spawnpoints and the objective. If someone wants to arrive at the objective in one piece, then sooner or later they will.
Honestly all that’s needed is to just fix when fire is buggy, causing it to burn things through walls, and boom, solved
Thumbs up for fire. Flamethrowers are fine, but stepping on fire and dying has NO sense. And ID squad members do it all the time
Also true but it’s roulette sometimes if either A.I. instant snape to you after they notice you, someone pulls a grenade out or a flamethrower of their own or a lucky shot towards your flames although they are nightmarish in close quarters. A dedicated flamethrower is a very dangerous flamethrower though from experience.
ground fire should take your HP, but once you’re in fire too long it should ignite you. this is both logical, realistic and good gameplay wise.
also it seems like when you do succesfuly extinguished yourself before your HP bar hits 0 you have still chance of dying, many many times i died even though i’ve clapped the fire out
yes

nerf everything
Flamethrowers will not appear so frequently in historical atmosphere battlefields, but this does not mean that they should be weak
Skill issues, there’s no need to nerf “fire”.
nerfing them wouldn’t make them weak, as long as they don’t get their range halved or something. A nerf is needed, just not a crazy one.
Skill issue
You can use perks against fire, or just killing flamethrower guys from distance. If you can’t do it - it’s your problem. Or problem of damn df, who still didn’t make a matchmaking.
Nerf only as a last resort, and this is barely an issue. Flame squads are so limited they aren’t that common. See plumes of fire? That guy is now your top priority. And nerf molotovs? No thanks, otherwise the game will become a monotone dance of cap campers and rushers without variety.
From distance? The only way to see they from distance is using wall-hacks I imagine. The battle field is very small and the risk/reward rate is too high for flamethrowers. It just take 1 flamethrower to get close to wipe out a entire objective or chargeout to attacker spawn to get 20+ kills and stop a entire wave of attackers.
aren’t that common? are you serious? 2/10 enemy using flamethrowers at the same time in every game. Notice i use using here because pretty much all hardcore player will have flamthrower squad.
You can give everyone 3 Molotov, and be better than a flamethrower.
And set fire to the flamethrower, too.
Or take flamethrowers in general.
What is the problem?
@Knyaz_Iaroslav @Adamnpee
How is fire glitching through the wall and igniting the player a skill issue? Are we supposed to just use wallhacks to detect that the molotov or flamethrower on the other side of the wall is there before hugging a wall for cover?
If you need hacks to replace your non existent skill of avoiding flame, no comment
Avoiding flames that aren’t visible because they are on the other side of the wall is somehow a skill issue. Yea. I think I see why no one really responds to you.
Yeah, it is. Are you deaf or what?
