Need way to manage soldiers in unused squads

Currently if you want to see what troops are in a squad that is not in your lineup you have to swap that squad into the lineup to check. Same to check if htey have equipment you want to use.

The unused squads and their troops need to be examinable in the same way that squads in the lineup are.

It would be nice to be able to click on a soldier in the academy view and go to the squad so you can swap him out. With as much changing out troops as we need to in order to train them up, that would be a God-send!

Yes - the backbone of the game is really the trooper management system - the games are just a mechanism to enable it to function!!

And right now it is a right PITA!

Forgot to include - in addition to examining troops in inactive squads you should be able to move them around and equip/unequip them.

well, to be honest, we shouldn’t even have troopers in squads that we cannot use.

are there just to take dust?

if the squads are fully upgraded, they are extra slots you can use to save more soldiers as a reserve, and with it have a larger reserve.

a non premium player may find it usefull

exept, you always try to use them, and upgrade them as soon as possible?

not leave them behind?

like, there should be a section for not assigned soldiers. like everyone should go.

waiting for be redirected in some squad to be used.

a non premium player may find the extra slots usefull to store level 5 soldiers, and or full 3/4 star ones untill he have more to level, and rotate more soldiers on the squads they are currently bn used. so he or she, can have more avaiable soldiers on the reserves to be leveled.

i dont use it that way tho, since i currently have around 200 reserve slots with premium + squad upgrades. but many users out there with limited reserve spaces might find it usefull to do so. if, they want every soldier at level 5.

in my honest opinion, level 5 soldiers shall only be used, when every possible squad that is currently used can be filled with said soldiers, so, in my opinion i rotate soldiers to level them untill i can finally assign every possible squad with 5 stars.
if i assign a level 5 soldier right now, i ill loose a slot that could level another soldier right now.

untill i can fill all the squads with level 5’s, they ill be on the reserve. a non premium user, may find the slots avaiable on non used squads usefull to store them untill he levels more soldiers as he plays.

Same here - or when I have no soldiers to be trained for a while - then I might as well have them in the squads giving their benefit!

A better / smoother troops management system is indeed necessary, in a game that puts so much emphasis on soldiers and squads upgrading. The UI is still quite unpolished in that sense.

Until then, I make sure I strip all squads of their weapons and extra soldiers whenever I remove them from my active lineup (in which I keep squads to level them up until the they’re fully researched), and deliberately keep a share of “spare” 1-stars to fill the mandatory minimum slots of inactive squads.
