Agree with it, I think collect ammo or weapons from corpses is necessary. And why we should not take up corpses’ weapons when we out of ammo? I think you need to cancel the limitation of pick up weapons from corpses, when you see some one use SMG and die, you could not pick up since you are a trooper, that’s annoying.
Personally I think a better solution is giving engineers the ability to make ammo packs, and giving tanks ammo packs as well. Looting corpses wouldnt happen in real war. You can pick up a rifle from a nearby dead player, shoot that empty, and pick up another one, if you really want to conserve ammunition. Alternatively, try your perk luck to get the +100% ammunition for primary perk.
Most players wouldn’t survive long enough to run out of ammunition unless they are sniping, which only works when playing defense on a push map/mode, as with the other modes you are trying to bleed enemy tickets through capturing zones, not trying to drain their respawn pool.
Currently, I’m very annoyed by the corpse’s weapon are all gone after they died. No one even pass by it, but the weapons are just gone.
BTW, I notice only main weapon will be left for you to collect, others, even secondary weapons are gone.
This game’s ammo is already so little.
Sniping is impossible since whether you are so far away from a AI, if you aim at him and stay at same place more than one second, you will be give a perfect long-range headshot.

Ammo, maybe. Dead soldiers? No. That would allow infinite camping at a cap point and would break immersion as you don’t just magically revive soldiers.
