Patchett - Base damage 5.5->5.7 Muzzle velocity: 370->390 RoF: 600->580
That’s what it should be… at a minimum… preferably another point-one base damage, and slightly less dispersion, but at least the velocity and RoF stats should get corrected…
Yes, I have fully accepted my position as the guy obsessed with the Patchett here on the Forum, and I will be threatening a 4th suggestion, if it becomes nessesary…
Though they are different, their penetration is more than sufficient, so there is no need to tell them apart. The American 75mm gun with 100mm penetration and the Soviet 76mm gun, which tops out at 86mm penetration, differ only slightly.
In short, they trade fragile armor for high penetration. Any excess penetration can be ignored. Since they can already pierce armor below BR3, even a penetration rating of 150mm is overkill and barely affects the battle outcome.
Those vehicles basically play the exact same. You have excellent firepower at the expense of dying to HE shells, any kind of plane strafe, and literally AT rifles
88mm gun with ~6 seconds reload speed on BR 3 already deletes every tank it would faces. The only exception would be Jumbo sherman and that’s about it. Ask yourself a question that would you like to drive Nashorn on BR 4 rather than drive flakbus on BR 3 with better reload speed.
Well, the thing that you arent realising is that, Nashorn would actually perform worse in BR3 than in BR4 - specifically because the lower your BR gets, the faster enemy tanks reload. Dicker max does not have the same penetration power of Nashorn. The power increase can be compared to Panzer IV H to Panther.
88 long is practically the best tank gun in the game, at least in anti tank performance.
Failed logic every time. Vehicles can’t be placed solely because of other vehicle’s position or only the 4 strongest vehicles would be above BR1. All others would be parked in BR1.
That’s factually wrong tho. Nashorn will have much worse time on BR 4 not because of enemy tanks reload faster but the overall battlefield environment becomes far, far worse especially for open-topped vehicles. Think how much HE spam gets done on BR 5 especially against USA and how much BR 4 gets dragged into BR 5 games rather than downtiered into BR 3 games, then you will understand this.
Then pray tell, what’s your perfect logic for this? Put vehicles in the same BR or even BR above anyway despite it obviously under performs compared to other vehicles on the same BR?
It’s already got 134 votes, yet there’s still no update on the Rhino. It’s sitting at BR 4, and the short 88mm gun is more than enough. Who would drive the thinly armored variant with the long 88mm gun anyway?
As long as the staff usually forwarding has their own factions preferences, this probably just won’t be forwarded.
The staff in question is pretty good at ignoring what doesn’t suit them.
As it is now, it’s just another clutter in the TT, wasting space.
Well the armor on ferdinand (is what you’re referring to?) is quite thick for BR3… with this armor which i’ve seen is enough reason for BR it should be fair for 3… i mean we have dickermax… only difference is this is tech tree… but US gets sherman 105 with 2 mgs one coax and the other commander on a closed top , properly armored tank… which also has. case for being 3 but if that stays then nashorn can be moved to 3 as well… ALONG with soviets getting su 122… its honestly a joke… germany is the only nation not allowed a lot of things including a high calibre tank in 3, even japan has the short gun (yes, the pz 3n is powerful though)
As the name of the suggestion itself says they’re referring to the Nashorn, not the Ferdinand. They’re just using a translator that translates the name of the vehicle too as it’s just a regular word.
Apparently both Nashorn and Ferdinand got better reload speed than other vehicles with long 88 since the last major update. Nashorn is not entirely useless if you get dragged into BR 5 games as BR 4 and want to counter tanks like IS-2 1944 and Super pershing etc but i still think that Nashorn belongs to BR 3 rather than BR 4 mainly because how fragile it is on BR 4-5(Tbh, as BR 4 it’s almost always BR 5 games so) environment where HE spams are very intense.
I’m sure barely anyone would play this vehicle.
Germany had an experimental turreted carrier armed with an 88mm gun, basically a turreted Rhino. That vehicle deserves to be at BR 4 instead. The Rhino’s biggest flaw is its tiny hull, complete lack of turret and minimal armor. It cannot hold a candle to the Tiger or Panther. The 75mm and 88mm guns are already more than sufficient; the Rhino is entirely redundant. It should be moved down to BR 3, designed solely to hunt KVs and Sherman tin cans.
I’ve played War Thunder plenty, after all. Even in WT, you have to constantly find cover to avoid getting one-shot. It’s a vehicle that lives and dies by terrain.
That’s not what I meant. The long 88mm gun carrier I’m talking about is the Nashorn tank destroyer.
The Dicker Max only works well on the Moscow map; all other maps are too cramped. Open-top turretless vehicles like this rely heavily on favorable terrain. In Enlisted, buildings are impenetrable, there are countless obstacles and rolling hills, and most fights take place in urban alleyways — vehicles like this can barely perform. Even on Normandy, key positions are lined with trees that block overhead firing lines and sightlines, leaving tank destroyers such as this with almost no room to shine.
It’s true that American tanks are the strongest right now, though the 105mm Sherman lacks a hull machine gun. I’m also frustrated that DF locked the SU-122 and KV into the same squad.
Honestly, I think Germany gets held back mainly because of the Bf 110 G-2 that carries four rockets. When swarmed by American CAS airstrikes, Germany has no viable counterplay. Players can only scramble out fighters to retaliate once they’re already getting bombed nonstop.
At least Germany gets the reliable King Tiger at BR 5, though.
