My thoughts on Tunisia

Tunisia Allies are OP, but not for long. Currently the Axis don’t have many effective counters or equivalents to Allied stuff like the Tommy Guns, the Garand, PIAT, and ESPECIALLY the Mk. I Grant, which is:
Unkillable from any angle by AB41
Barely killable by M14/41
Killable by Semovente, but Semovente is super situational and has no other use
Killable only by multiple det packs.
However, the latest update added the new Panzer which I assume can counter the Grant, while Brits just got a upgrade/sidegraded A13 in form of the Crusader. The Axis also got the MG 34, so we can assume that as new levels are added, the Axis will finally get better SMGs and rifles too, like a 7.35mm Armaguerra, Pre war Beretta M38s, Beretta 1918, and some more German tanks while the Brits get more sidegrade/mid tier unlocks with the one OP thing left probably being the drum mags tommy gun.

In terms of bolt actions both sides have strengths and weaknesses. Carcano reloads faster and(in my opinion) has better iron sights and just feels a bit snappier, while the Lee Enfield and SMLE have higher capacity and higher damage but take longer to reload. However, the biggest factor in making Tunisia unbalanced is the lack of playerbase on the Axis side due to the amount of repeat German gear, like the kar98k, mp28, mp40, prewar kar with scope mount, gewehr 41, etc. Therefore, players on the Axis side won’t be grinding up as much since they’ve used this stuff before, but grind allies because they want to use british planes, tanks, and the tommy gun at level 14 in British campaign but at level thirty something in the US campaign.

i really dont care that much if they add some op shit at the end. i am not in a million years grinding through all the levels of pain before it

also, in my opinion, the allies dont even have that much better gear. the axis just has boring repeat unlocks that very few people have the patience to go through. and therefore you see axis teams full of bots, causing them to lose most games

this, as well as tunisian maps being on the lower end of quality control it seems

IMPOSSIBLE TO KILL BY AB41

m14 41 is the medium tank, ab41 is the armored car, and semovente is the tank destroyer

ok, im very much on the tunisia allies op train, but:

wrong, you can get close behind it and kill it that way. not that that makes it any better, but better to be correct than not.

again, wrong, you can pen driver and gunner hatches and destroy the guns. though it is a lot harder when you’re at distance since that gun isn’t very accurate.

true

wrong. you need to overpressure the ammo rack. try landing the detpack where the ammo is, centre - front of the tracks.

the crux of the issue. completely right. if campaigns were less copy paste and had more unique identity (i.e. should be brits v italians as opposed to what we have now) we’d absolutely see more axis players. But i still think the biggest problem is the tanks, since as force multipliers they have a much larger affect on a match when played effectively than a standard infantry squad or even a CAS plane will.

Why the heck would someone flag that post.

Some one dont like different opinion

I have been able to set the engine on fire through the front with the GrB-39 multiple times. From the side hitting ammo will delete it too.

I think people need to share time zones and servers, I was on Tunisia early morning 8am GMT, playing as axis and won and came first every single round, destruction, oasis, I think every game type incl conquest too.

I really think it depends on time of day, maybe I was playing against bots, not sure though, saw a few bunny hopping players with LMGs (I though they fixed this btw)

I start with german normandy because of the STG and there was no Tiger in the game. This is the easy mod. Now I stop playing this campaign because we only loose when people decide to camp instead of defending the objectif, but it’s rare.
It’s the easy mod.

I up lvl 5 tunisia allied until I realise it will be the same. So I switch to the other camp to Tunisia axis.
It’s very rewarding to win some games. Some loose are frustrating but it’s better than 100% win rate.

So Wellcome to Darksoul ashen one.

I’d say normandy favours germany right now due to playerbase, but it’s far from ez mode. All it takes is one good player in allies team and germans have hard time as they are braindead and don’t know what to do.

Actually most matches in normandy are either germany stomps or us stomps. There are almost non of close win/lose matches.

Not only that, past events, the allies were the ones that got useful free stuff like the machine gun squad.

Regarding the grant, i still think that tanks should be forced to leave the gray zone after a while. cause thats where most ofthe grants sit, making bombing the only way to kill them, or going full suicide squad with your infantry+ detpacks.

thats a lvl 23 weapon my dude.

that grant tank even destroys pz3, its quite pathetic

mentioned to disprove ‘killable only by detpacks’ claim
