My suggestions after 100hrs

Just my current list of Suggestions, QoL and bugs:

  • Battle Task - Having a task for Normandy when you want to play Moscow makes no sense. Maybe just do not have any tasks that are campaign/game mode specific. Also no tasks for soldier/squad types that you have not unlocked yet.

  • Mini map/map option to rotate with players view direction.

  • Top main tabs should read Soldiers, Upgrades, Academy, Logistics and then Campaign. Just a better order IMO.

  • When reviving from healing make soldier retain previous pose once finished. Rather than always kneeling.

  • More XP for objectives, creating and spawning from rally, defending/attacking point etc. All things that benefit team play, rather than just weighted towards kills and assists.

  • When finishing a battle, make team not ready as default when playing with squad mates.

  • Why is there no scope shown for Normandy Allies sniper rifles M1903A1 and M1 Garand in logistics. Where Axis sniper rifles do.

  • Switching between Soldiers and Upgrades etc it should keep the currently selected squad. Its currently confusing having a different squad selected when swapping between sections.

  • Spawn squads looking roughly in the direction of battle. Rather than at the moment where you always seem to be facing away. Its very disorientating.

  • Be able to manage soldiers in squads without having to first put them in your active squads. Maybe make ‘soldiers’ behave the same as ‘upgrades’ where you can see all squads, just make the top squads that will be taken into battle highlighted differently to distinguish this.

  • Game(PC) keeps showing game pad buttons, even though there is no controller plugged in.

  • Allow to specify where screenshots are kept, so as not to fill the drive where game is installed, so we can keep pictures in My Documents/My Pictures folder. Or just place them in MyDocuments/MyGames/Enlisted seeing you already create a folder there for saves. Especially ideal for those of us that have the game on a small SSD.

  • On battle report show squad type icon on squad, as well soldier type on each soldier.

  • Minimize launcher to system tray on game start. So we can use it as a non ‘Insert game library here e.g. Steam’ game. So friends can see what we are playing. Currently if you use Steam to run the launcher, when you start the game the launcher closes so you are seen as not playing anything, and you cannot use the game exe as it throws EAC errors when entering a match.

  • Can we please have a 3 day option for buying premium so we can cover a weekend.

  • Show somewhere on main screen how many battle task we have currently done towards our maximum, 3 (9 with battle pass)

  • Main screen should show, in order, main battle task, additional battle tasks, battle pass progress for next task, battle pass and then achievements. It’s confusing having achievements stuck in between, which has no relation to what is above and below it currently.

  • I like the change to perks on soldiers returning from the academy, it now makes sense on what soldier you choose to return, but please allow us to view the perks of soldiers that are currently in the academy and in the selection list, so we can make an informed discission when choosing a specific soldier to add/use a return order on.

  • Show somewhere on main display our current reserve count (current/max). So we don’t have to keep going into manage soldiers just to see if we have any space available.

  • A better way to distinguish between soldier classes e.g. Engineer I, II, III etc in Academy section. Plus what squad they currently reside in if not in reserves.

  • Final battle report should show how many men you have lost, not squads. As that is what the number of reserves remaining seems to be based off of.

  • Show minimum number of units needed for a squad. So we don’t have to take one out and press ok to see if we have fallen under min required.

  • Since around patch 0.1.22.40 PC when managing soldiers, all soldiers of type that are allowed in a specific squad appear at the top of the list, even if you have not unlocked the ability to use this type yet. Just looks messy and confusing.

  • Whilst in managing soldiers, moving a unit in the reserve list and scrolling at the same time messes up the insert position, dragged portrait counts as one position and mouse cursor another, i.e. dragged portrait and mouse position become desynced. This has only happened since 0.1.23.13 PC.

I think engineers did get XP increase in prev update, feels about good. And since last update I also think kills in objective count more (but haven’t verified).

Glad it’s not only me who has problems with the first few seconds. :slight_smile:

Also I miss those icons in logistics, for newbies that would help.

What if you were downed whilst prone? You then automatically kneel whilst reviving and if not killed during this time, once revived remain kneeling, where as you should go back to prone. You survived your revive you should go back to how you were, especially if prone sniping.

Nor do I, so why does the UI keep showing me controller buttons occasionally?

If you want to move soldiers around, and a soldier you need to move is not currently in an active squad you need to…

  1. move squad into active squads
  2. manage soldiers and remove unit
  3. put your previous squad back into active squads
  4. manage soldiers and place the retrieved unit in the squad where you want it.

If all squads where manageable, like you can under upgrades, there would be no need for this squad swapping nightmare.

As for the ones you replied ‘meh’ to, I generally agree, once you have played a while you know where things are, but these were things I noted down as I’ve played since OBT began and initially found some what confusing.

I wish to have a two-sided interface “soldier swap” option (on button click or UI settings), both left and right sides showing all squads and reserve soldiers as a separate “squad”. So no fancy 3D models, just

all squads - soldiers - equipment ||| equipment - soldiers - all squads

And then moving soldiers or moving their equipment is simpified to a select + drag’n’drop.

Just tested and can confirm. I put down a single rally point in Birch Grove or how it is called next to C church in the trench, it was used a lot.

So I think XP for spawn points is correct.

On the other hand I don’t see whether destroyed enemy rally points count or not. They should.
