My PP Shpitanlniy assessment

So after getting my first PP Shpitalniy and using it in actual battle, here is my assessment. It’s not a bad weapon if all your fighting is within 10 meters, however if your trying to kill an enemy beyond that distance you can accomplish just as much throwing rocks. To be honest, IMOP this thing would be better served as an SMG pistol, but I will use them as my bomber pilots backup weapons.

Buddy, it’s been two days! Don’t be spending gold like that! Gotta save it for the next sale lol

Think it would be neat if they allowed it to be used by all soldier classes. That way you could use it as a second primary on a sniper, machinegunner, or regular infantry for those specific cqb scenarios. Is basically how i use the yazikovs and colt shwartz already.

Speaking of which, when the hell are we gonna see the c96 again?!?!

Me too

Yes.

Reason this weapon needs to be change to pistol, otherwise there are far better choices.

If you do this with a pistol, it will be the first pistol with BR.

No less than a third.

When I saw the title and read that first paragraph I thought you were gonna talk thrash about the other PP Shpitalniy (the 1940 one, 97 rounds, AKA probably my favourite smg) and I was immediately gonna defend it.

But yeah, about that new “budget” version of the PPS-43, I don’t see the point when there’s so many good SMGs in that tier for the Soviets. So it makes no sense. Also the game since the beginning makes no difference in drawing speed based in the size of the weapon, or any advantage for tank crews using more compact weapons instead of bulkier ones. Which is often times the historical reason for the existence of lighter versions of many weapons, being able to fire from inside the vehicle. Or having an advantage during melee with a weapon that has a built in stock vs a foldable one as a drawback. None of those things exist in this game.

So yeah, it should be a sidearm.

Yeah, it will never be anything other then a back up weapon in my arsenal as their is no reason to use it. And, to be perfectly honest there are better backup weapons as well.

If they changed it to the pistol class, my guess is the BR rating would disappear and the magazine size would be reduced. The Yazikov is 15 rounds with an additional three magazines, Swartz is 18 with three additional, so if changed they would either have to reduce the magazine size or the number of magazines the soldier could carry.

If, of course, there really were reduced-capacity magazines for it.

But what difference does it make?

Should fake gun have absolutely real magazine?
