I find this game awesome and I really love the way developers react to feedback but there are one big issue for me atm.
So many of us are tired with noobs who only die as fast as they can as infantry only to do noobish bomber runs and they repeat that every round not even interested to play something outside plane.
Good thing was when they removed option to spawn in plane from the start but its still not enough!
Nerfing planes/bombs IMO is not an option because it would kill realism and fun from playing with them so
Put stationary AA, already build in fixed map spots from the beginning of battle, without much depression (so it can’t be used effectively against infantry, because people abuse the one which can be build in that way), this AA should have more ammo than one that you can build or engs should replenish it easier)
Let people (like every engineer with hammer not only eng from eng squad) repair those fixed AA when destroyed in bombing run or maybe even all AA that are placed by other allied eng squads.
Give more XP points for plane destruction/ fix plane dmg/kill count (often it don’t count planes kill properly) so people will be encouraged to build AA and focus bombers. In most of my games people (just like me atm who don’t have eng squad equipped) don’t care about annoying bombers and how to counter them. Most of them have only 1 pilot so 1 frag for such effort seams meaningless and you can do more points shooting infantry.
Give more XP to fighter pilots who counter enemy bombers so it will encourage people to pick those not Close Air Support ones. Maybe ACE PILOT/Plane destroyer award at and of the round for person with most plane kills from stationary AA or/and other planes.
Performance of AA gun should rely on number of live operators. ATM only 1 person operate AA. IMO it should be more like that: if you have 3 squamates alive they should help you operate AA when you use it. It should allow you to move it and reload it faster or maybe even spot planes faster. Because in reality it is possible to operate such gun as one person but it is highly unpractical. Now it moves and reloads unrealistically slowly! I know this game is in beta but I think devs should consider such changes before releasing 1.0
i think a good idea to solve the problem of bomb spam is a high fuze delay to bigger bombs that will help to scape from the radius, bigger the bomb, bigger the delay
and for suicide bombing, if the plane crashes after the fuze is triggered the bombs doesnt explode and a spawn penalty
and the last, i thing a good idea is the radio operators can call an AA squad like 88mm for germany and 85mm for soviets that will keep the planes at higher altitude or kill them like wt anti air battery on the airfields even if you can mark them this increases the accuracy of the AA fire more or less like bf4 aa spawn protection
and of course proper AA damage 4 20mm should shred planes with a few hits
What would the player/plane do for them 3 minutes?
This would just be boring for the pilot im afraid.
At the moment the only thing a bomber can do is bomb players on the ground.
They need to be doing objectives like bombing large gun emplacements, certain ground targets
to keep them occupied.
Also AA is 100% needed
well IRL divebombers and the like would not drop all their bombs in one go, so that would move fighters to be more of a figher then a bomber and fighter bombers into conserving their ammo instead of just carpet bombing then restocking
but yes the bombers would be left in the dark so maybe not restricting them would be fair seeing as they are basically dead if a fighter chooses to attack them
