in the last 48 hours, a semi-major update has been released aimed at boosting the development of enlisted, in the update we can find a lot of QOL fix and added feature, but the two one wo started a civil war are
- Stalingrad bolt action buff to all campaigns
- adding some inertia to the movement
these two additions have sparked a civil war between those who love them and those who hate them, leaving out the arguments for and against, I now want to point out that lupdate has added an element to enlisted missing until now the weapon efficiency in different sector
what I’m talking about?
With the last update wo have a semi-rework of how weapon behave and so on how use them

bolt-action now can OHK from any distance giving more easy life to new player, and make them the perfect support weapon for assault and defense capable of hold the enemy or supression them if used with other weapon type

smg/assault rifle, are becomed totally focused on cqc mid range and so need bolt-action/semi-auto support for shine

semi-auto have almost their rate of fire back and with some modfy now are a truly front-line weapon able to support and assault

mg take some stalingrad modification but they are not much changed, but the inertia om the movement force here to be a solid support weapon, as has to be, instead of run and gun with here as before

some SF got buffed or nerfed deping on the dev will, but now they are a fine mix between smg and semi-auto, able to do different job but dont shine in no one, but good as fuck as always
this in my opinion is only a small step towards achieving a broader goal, but already from now we can see that using squad with mixed weapons, effectively beats any automatic weapons meta present before, and makes the game more interesting than classic “spam fg42 / m2 / avt etc … for win”

In all honestly, they need to do away with dispersion or visual recoil. Having both is dumb asf. As for BA damage, I’d say that it was needed. The devs should focus more on encouraging teamplay, such as more points for attacking and defending objectives, for example.

I have been playing again after being gone for some time due to IRL stuff.
However, here is my take on the new update after playing again for the last few days:
Movement: I like what they added for the most part, tho I never thought “b-hopping” was ever really that big of an issue tbh. Prone-Stand animations make a lot more sense and movement doesn’t feel too bad.
My biggest dislike is that jumping feels delayed/unresponsive even if it is my first jump. I was even in practice mode testing and had many times where I would just fall into the trench instead of jumping even when pressed more than once.
Overall I just want it to be more responsive and I think they should have a more horizontal hop forward if you tap it and a higher jump if you hold it, taking more or less stamina based on the jump.
BA Buff: It just makes sense tbh but I think they overdid it a little. The max damage should stay the same but the damage increase should kick in once the rifle is upgraded a bit. Its not that expensive to do on basic BAs. And this is coming from someone who has liked BAs, specifically the anti-armor BA rifles.
overall the update is quite good.
