My 6 suggestions after playing for a few days

  1. Managing squads is painfull
    a) add a button to strip a soldier of all his gear, doing this manually is very incovinient.
    b) give possibility to add/delete soldiers from squads that arent curently in use. having to swap them in and out to make changes is incovinient.

  2. Unlocking sidearms so far in the “tech tree” is a mistake, you should be able to get basic pistols from the very beginning, for a week you have tankers and snipers with no sidearms, untill you research first aircrafts.

  3. This has been suggested before, but tank balance is pretty bad rn, ba 11 is too hard to kill from the front, later russian tanks dont even seem like an upgrade.

  4. Make your “friends” that play with you visible on the map. I have no connection with my teammate even tho we play on comms. Feels like we are playing different matches. Either make the unit he controlls a different colour, or an entire squad.

  5. Commander has a huge role in a tank combat, yet currently is unusable, we shoudn’t use gunner to controll the tank and look around, we should use commanders position, not only would it give better visibility but also just makes more sense. Also because of using gunner to look around tanks with faster turret traverse have advantage in spotting.

  6. I’m not sure if making me grind engineering batallion just to give 1 engineer I use in a recon infantry a sidearm and additional medpack, is a good idea. It isn’t even worth it as i just might have him with basic stuff to do enginnering stuff. Same with an artilllery guy and so on. Either make their personnal upgrades more intresting or change the way its unlocked (unlock stuff for entire infantry u are using or if you play an engineer unlock stuff for engineer, if u play a trooper, unlock stuff for a trooper) I would even prefer if u had to grind personal upgrades for each individual soldier.

EDIT: overall tho, gameplay wise, game is amazing! Keep up the good work guys.

1a: yes please! If you haven’t figured it out yet, you can double click an item you want to remove to take it off, as well as double click an item in the item list to quick-equip it to the slot you have selected. Not that when unequipping soldiers, you need to keep at least 1 Kar98k on him

1b: again, yes please! only force 4 soldiers minimum on the squads you have equipped, as well as allowing all soldiers that are not equipped to not have any weapons?

2: I agree that if you unlock a weapon from the squad tech tree, that weapon should be available to unlock. Certain weapons, such as the Gewehr 43 and MG34 are not obtainable at all but still have you waste upgrade points on them. Same thing with upgrade points: The M30 shotgun can not be upgraded, but the M38 SMG can, requiring you to max out the entire M30 upgrade line to access the M38 upgrades

3: BA-11 should be replaced by a BT-5, or T-50/60/70/80, i think. The starter vehicles should be worse than their later variants, after all. The BA-11 wasn’t even a tank regiment vehicle, it was a recon vehicle (tho equipped to combat tanks. Not saying it wasn’t made to combat tanks, only that it wasn’t made to be used by tanker troops)

4: Yes please! Also please highlight friendly players (non-bots) with a bigger marker or something, so you can see who leads each pack.

5: Right now you need to use scroll wheel to move from view port to view port. I think you should be able to freely look around inside the cupola for quick glances outside but when you press the aim button, your view would snap to one of the view ports, allowing you to look out more effectively in that direction.

6: As it is now, every single batallion gives you 1x of their specialized soldier and 1x of their specialized weapon. This severely weakens late-game squads, especially the mortar squad. A fresh mortar squad has 1 mortar unit with 10 rounds of ammo, while if you have all 4 mortar users with 2 mortars each, that ammo count goes up to 4x18 or 72. While I personally don’t mind it too much, I think that they should allow us to directly buy soldiers and weapons without any RNG to compensate for it. I am tired of getting my 10th PzB38 when I still need 2 M38s to equip my shotgun squad.

Nice feedback! Maybe consider making them individual posts so discussion can be more focussed?

I didn’t want to spam the forum with 6 diferent topics, but yes, it would probably make discussion easier. If it gets to devs for their consideration it will be enough though.

Thank you for the double click tip, will make it at least a bit easier for now. Thank you for following my suggestions, good further explicition.

Couldn’t have agreed more, though for the last point it will do more harm than good. I believe if we are to get the same rates as the last open alpha test it will make it for the best (maybe decrease them just a little), the squad upgrade perks should have more in weight behind them in a different way some of the perks should’ve been there by default.

For the lootbox system (Logistics) I would rather have any other system in its place even as an experiment rather than the lootbox mechanic (Logistics), from my start in here I found it that all players around here are having this as a common issue number one yet the developer don’t seem to want to acknowledge that (advocating for a change regardless, nothing else).
