Move the whirlwind down to br2

Now that i’ve finally unlocked the whirlwind i realize just how BAD it is,
Its slow,
has an abysmal turn radius,
almost NO ammo.
it’s just a god awful plane at br3

480 20mm is super decent for BR3, most aircraft at this BR carry half of that.
Its perfectly competitive against BR3 aircraft such as Stuka D-3 or PE-2.

I support it getting dropped to BR II.

it is not outrageously agile; the ammo is half of the BR II Spitfire Mk Vc/trop but has bombs but a less maneuverability. I would however possibly drop the bombs to 250lb at the same time to bring it more in line with BR2 loadouts.

spitfire is fighter not attacker like whirlwind. if you want to compare it, compare it to AP-1 on BR3 which is much slower (~460km/h vs 600km/h), has worse climb rate (9m/s vs 19m/s) and has similar turn time (18s vs 19s). certainly it has more ammo, but it is all lower caliber.

Whirlwind is pretty decent by comparison

I find it performs better than the mosquito which is BR IV.

Poor mossie :frowning:

Hurricanes fly very fast
But there is very little ammunition
As a bomber, his turning ability is acceptable
I don’t really care about his classification level
At least I don’t have to see a bunch of monkeys trying to shoot up the ground with his machine guns
I can’t wait to see them take over the level 5 housing bomber position and become the new parasites
The Germans and Japanese would be very happy

i wouldnt say that hurricanes fly very fast… 515km/h isnt that fast even for BR1

Ap-1 shouldnt be br 3 to begin with.

Whirlwind is prime example of what BR3 plane should look like.

It’s not a terrible, but a specific plane. Playing it requires a different approach because you would want to fly it like a fighter, but it’s an attack plane.

If aircraft other than P38 are considered
He is indeed the fastest bomber below level 3

Imo is to god for BR2

not it isnt… hurricane has 515km/h speed and is slowest US/british plane besides AP1

I think they are making confusion between Whirlwind and Hurricane, and are indeed talking about the speed of the Whirlwind rather than the speed of Hurricane.

shh… i am trolling cause his google translate probably translates whirlwind and hurricane as the same :stuck_out_tongue:
