The P-38E is a BR3 fighter in the US tech tree, and is very obsolete on that battle rating. It is near identical to the J and G versions which are already on BR2, but it also lacks the 8x M8 rockets on those, and doesn’t have any ordinance at all. Combined with the average guns incapable of attacking tanks like the Yak 9T or K, it’s no surprise why nobody uses this plane. I think that this plane is better suited for BR2 rather than BR3, and I honestly have no idea why the devs decided to make this BR3 and the other P38s BR2.
Should the P-38E be moved to BR2?

tbh, it’s still pretty useless at BR2. The only advantage it has is speed, without ground ordnance I’d rather fly either of the TT spitfires.

The J should be dropped down to BR2 and the E should be given 2 500lbs bombs.

The J going to BR2 is fair I suppose considering the G is BR2, but I’m pretty sure the E doesn’t have any suspended weapon racks at all, it doesn’t have any in WT at least.
I thought it might be like the Ki-83 where the War Thunder suspended armament isn’t complete, but the P-38E apparently didn’t have any racks for suspended armament or external fuel tanks.
It should still be lowered to BR2, but it’s only hope of relevance is if a score requirement system for vehicles gets added to the game.
