With the arrival of Off-road squads, we are not introducing a new soldier class. Instead, we will change the name of the APC Driver class to Driver, because these vehicles fit better under that class.

However, the number of off-road vehicles in your lineup will have a shared limit with motorcycles, since these squads are similar to Rider squads in terms of usage. That said, we will also make slight adjustments to them too, allowing you to capture points with both vehicle types. So this way you will be able to help out your team even more: whether with the ammo or medic box on your motorcycle, the boxes full of extra grenades on your off-road vehicle or simply with the added fire power. Let the race to capture points begin!

as probably one of the very few actually using riders passed br II, the whole point of riders class is to act and be sort of shock units.

the solution and more logical thing to do is
either:

• Rework rider I
  or
• add Rider II
  for ground vehicles.

there’s no need to ruin a class and vehicles that shares very little in between.

who would anyone swap their apc for a car?

that they can’t even have an engineer on it?

makes so much more sense to add such vehicles to riders due to the specialization too.

why is it a problem?
let me tell ya:

• unused cars because APCS > Cars
• inability to run with APC, Rider with bikes AND Rider with car in a loadout
• supposed APC with a car lacks an engineer to… do what normally the APC class would do by default.

Off-road vehicles have their own squad. But the space in your lineup is shared with motorcycles. I.e., you’ll have the opportunity to take an APC and a Motorcycle/Off‑road vehicle.

The news article mention “the arrival of Off-road squads” , so I assume the jeeps will have a new squad type but will still use APC drivers (now just drivers) as main soldier type.
If i am wrong and these go to the APC squad, then tgey are dead on arrival .

They are in different squads, however they use the same base class; the rider (duh). Imo u shouldnt be able to use both the bikes and cars at the same time if they truly are in the same class. It should be apc + car or apc + bike.

We were all expecting rider II’s but now that they’re “drivers” I don’t really see how this isn’t semantics at this point. APC driver got renamed… so what. I think the rider class should just be called driver as well if I’m being honest. They’re confusing things now.

Not at my computer at the moment but perk wise, what is the actual difference between rider and driver? Driver I know gets some of the tanker perks like braking, shifting gears, etc. Does rider not get that?

Also regarding your edit, I think there should be limits on all vehicle types or none at all. Cycling tech tree APC along with premium or event APC can be pretty busted. Same with fighters / bombers / tanks. Limit each to two or three or don’t limit them at all I say. Because yeah it makes no sense that you can only take two bikes but four tanks is allowed lol

It should be consistent across the board with whatever they do.

Yep, cause you have 3 diff squads: one for motorcyclists (called Riders) and the new one for off‑road (called Drivers) in lineup limitations with motorcycles (), plus another Driver squad for the APC but in APCs lineup limitation ().

Oh, this clear some things up. Still would’ve prefer if the jeeps were for rider class.
