The M1C Garand is a sniper on BR4, but is underpowered for the BR and is really just a BR3 gun forced into BR4. Statistically, it is very similar to the Sniper M1 Garand which is already BR3, with the only major differences being a way lower magnification scope (2.5x magnification versus 6x magnification), 0.8 higher damage maxxed, and a decent bit more recoil. Due to these differences not being substantial and otherwise similar to the Sniper M1 Garand, I suggest lowering the M1C Garand to BR3.
You are correct that the difference between the Sniper M1 Garand and the M1C Garand is not that big, but Sniper Garand is already a great sniper rifle for its BR, far better than the premium sniper G41 and better than SVT-38 in most ways too.
I think that M1C is a BR4 sniper rifle, its just not obvious because there are too few semi-auto sniper so its hard to set standards. Besides whats the point of having two sniper garands on the same BR? thats just a waste, it would be better to give a minor buff to M1C if necessary and add another BR4 sniper rifle that is more akin to sniper G43/SVT-40 like a scoped Mas-44.
There are many ways to buff M1C if need be:
more ammo, slightly more damage, increase scope magnification, reduce recoil, increase fire rate ect.
After the Dunkirk the British military have lost most of their firearms production of the Lee Enfield Mk4 was starting to ramp up so they went to the drawing board and prototype a stop gap rifle
Please no!!! .303 sniper is awesome and I want authentic British/Commonwealth loudout.
Also while it is great, it is still a bolt action rifle. It would be very wrong to have some factions with a semi auto sniper at BR IV/V and Allies with a bolt action sniper.
You act like it will be outmatched… i’d rather use the lee enfield over any of them besides fg 42 sniper considering its damage… it also can retain the scope while cycling which basically makes it a semi auto.
