The Luftfaust has been the most overtiered weapon in the game since the merge, and I don’t know why it’s still stuck at BR4.
For those who don’t know, the Luftfaust is a 9 barreled 20mm rocket launcher meant to shoot at aircraft performing CAS. Unfortunately, it takes the spot of an AT launcher in game, meaning it has to compete for space with Panzerfaust 100s at its current BR.
Being only 20mm, the Luftfaust does nothing to tanks, not even shooting tracks will do anything. Against infantry the rockets have a very small amount of splash damage, basically requiring a direct impact for a kill. Against aircraft, it can be devastating with a direct hit, but it’s unfortunately not better than an engineer built AA gun.
It’s a funny meme weapon, but it’s currently horrifically overtiered. I believe it would fit in at BR1.
We have a game here…
In which bolt-action rifles, semi-automatic rifles, automatic rifles, and machine guns chambered for the same rifle cartridges have completely different damage output.
this is a relic of the developers’ attempt to combine the BR system and the chronological use of a particular weapon, Luftfaust was created only at the end of the war, so the developers tried to put it where it would fight with the machines of the end of the war, and they also did so because it does not affect the balance, if it were an important element of gameplay in the early stages games from the time of the companies, then it would definitely have been put on a BR 1, and so the developers had no reason to try to balance its effectiveness with a BR
yeah that’s the point of it. I want it to be kept like that, a funny weapon to meme around with for fun and variety. I do NOT want it in low BR for tryhards to fckaround. It would contribute to unhistorical immersion in low BR and be annoying for noobs at that tier. So no.
Bad Idea.
Put a lead indicator on it and it could be actually used as an AA weapon effectively, problem solved and fixed
I would put it at BR IV with a simple lead indicator. That’s where it fits for historical reason, late War gear.
And as a special additional weapon for the collector to play around with for fun.
at low tier it would just be another annoying thing for new pilots to watch out for.
Simple, logical and based in immersion and the gameplay of the game.
end
yeah as I SAID, we nedd LESS of that NOT more.
And we need to move to weapons and vehicles adjust on more things and take into account when balancing with BR. AS in Time of Use, i.e early, mid or late
It’s very immersive to play with prototype weapon from the 1890s, 1900s, 1910s, 1920s, 1930s or 1940s, fictional weapons, a Cold War jet and weapons that never saw combat. What an immersion!
You can play Normandy, Bulge and Berlin on low BR so it’s the end of the war and in BR4 and BR5 the USA and USSR have many prototypes, so it makes much more sense to have in BR1, BR2, or BR3 than BR4 and BR5
that’s what I’m saying we need more things to be taken into account when setting BR on the game to make it MORE Historical, to get a better ww2 immersion.
AS I SAID, put it BR IV with a lead indicator so it can actually be used as AA Gun, and it’s good to go to be used for end players who are bored to have another extra gimmick to play with, perfect.
