Because of that, we can instead picture this gun as a bolt action rifle with 170 RPM, which is around 250% faster firing than the fastest full damage bolt action rifle
This really doesn’t deserve to be in BR2 because of its damage combined with ROF.
It should be moved to BR3 because it essentially plays as a bolt action rifle with 170 RPM which has no business being in BR1 matches.
I get what you mean far as allied BR2 powercreep goes, this is a pretty mild example (see Thompson 7.63).
This might be a hot take but rather than uptiering the Kretz, I wish all semi autos would get damage buffs to be more like it. The Kretz just feels so much better than most of them, and it’s outright ridiculous guns like the Lee Enfield No.4 feel so much better than the Garand. The damage shouldn’t be the same and they would need other reworks but it should at least be able to consistently kill and not just down. It makes guns with worse reloads like the G41 basically pointless.
The TT semi autos were so universally adopted they should be straight up better and not a glorified sidegrade, we have the BR system anyway so they don’t need the campaign balance to make them and bolties equally viable.
All 5 round bolt action rifles should be BR 1.
Any bolt action rifle with higher than 5 rounds should be BR 2.
This has 5 rounds but is semi auto….
Therefore the math means it should be BR 2.
Another post lacking logic but hey at least it’s not you crying about body armour.
The whole semi rifle balance is a mess since they added 15.3 dmg semis at BR II, while stuff like the G41 or SVT-38 still does 14.4 dmg at BR III.
I think semis need a dmg rebalance in general, there is a lot of arbitrary damages differences between similar rifles, Italian and Japanese semis suffer a lot from this. Of course, stuff like ROF, recoil and dispersion should be different to try to make weapon unique or appropriate to their BR but stuff like Fedorov and KoKo rifle doing more damage that both SVD (premium and battlepass) and the SVT-38 is kind of ridiculous.
