I’m saying that when the merge happened, the best equipment was put at BR5 since it was thought BR5 would be the max. There were some really good pieces of equipment worthy of being in BR6, but there was generally only one or 2 per faction.
Germany had the King Tiger and the FG-42 II, but the FG started in semi auto. America had the P-47, but subpar armor and infantry equipment. The Soviets had the Federov and RD but subpar vehicles, especially their air tree. Japan had nothing, as per usual.
So BR6 worthy equipment existed, but once the devs started rightfully filling the gaps with better and better stuff like Pershings, T-20, Tu-2s, full auto for the FGs, etc etc, now there’s entire lineups of BR6 worthy equipment that’s all still BR5.
Besides select fire and jets. Br 4 to br 5 is a very regular jump. So yeah your point rlly doesn’t make sense. Br 5 tanks are overhyped. Br 5 assault rifles are alright. Br 5 mg are just higher capacity, same with br 5 smgs, and br 5 prop planes are comparable to br 4 and 3 planes.
I forgot when exactly they buffed it tbh. I played Berlin Allies a loooot pre-merge and played a loooot of BR5 Russia post merge so that whole period sometimes just blends together in my memory. But still the RD-44 is a BR6 weapon where it stands currently
