Move the FNAB-43 to BR1

Should the FNAB-43 be moved to BR1

The FNAB is a BR2 SMG that is very heavily underperforming on BR2, and should be moved to BR1 in it’s current state. While the gun has generally decent stats, it VERY heavily lacks in rate of fire in comparison not only to guns within the same faction, but especially to enemy SMGs on the same battle rating, at an incredibly slow 460 rounds per minute at the very highest, in comparison to guns with generally similar stats but at much higher ROFs; 630 RPM (Beretta M38/42) 680 RPM (PPS 42) 690 RPM (Lanchester) 800 (PPS 43). Now, I will compare the main stats of this gun to other BR1 SMGs (all maxed out stats) to show that it will not be unbalanced.

FNAB-43 - 6.8 damage, 460 rounds per minute, 2.2 second reload, 40 rounds
MP34 (ö)- 6.8 damage, 520 rounds per minute, 2.3 second reload, 32 rounds
Beretta M38A- 6.8 damage, 690 rounds per minute, 2.2 second reload, 20 rounds
M3 SMG- 8.2 damage, 430 rounds per minute, 2.3 second reload, 30 rounds
Sten Mk2- 6.6 damage, 630 rounds per minute, 2.3 second reload, 32 rounds
M50 Reising- 8.2 damage, 570 rounds per minute, 2.2 seconds reload, 20 rounds

In summary, while the FNAB-43 would have the largest magazine at 40 rounds, it would be fine because of it’s slower rate of fire than normal, which in comparison would give it a slower TTK than the other BR1 SMGs, but be able to shoot for longer. Therefore, I suggest that the FNAB-43 is moved to BR1 to allow it to fight SMGs more suited for it’s power level.

Devs could also fix the fire rate instead.

in the video he had emptied the magazine in less than 5 seconds, FNAB in reality had monstrous fire rate!

There is that option, but I remember there being 2 versions of the FNAB, or something along those lines, and we have the late model FNAB in game, so the devs could add a FNAB 43 early model with the high rate of fire, then we could have both a low and mid BR FNAB 43. I would like to see the 800 RPM FNAB though, it sounds really fun to use.

No, because I want the FNAB with the high ROF like in the video

Like I had said in my comment above, why not have both the slow ROF and high ROF versions? The devs could easily have 2 versions of the same gun with different stats.

Is it just me or was the FNAB-43’s ROF higher than usual during the Halloween Event? If so maybe the devs are planning on increasing its ROF in the base game.

They changed a lot of ROFs for different guns during the even, the FNAB, Beretta 1918, and the type 100 felt different than normal, and the values seemed to be kind of random as well, so I doubt they would change them to what they were during the event.

Euthy has already confirmed it’s getting a rof increase and staying in br2

Really? I don’t remember seeing her respond to any posts about the FNAB, but I hope it’s to the 800 RPM level. If you could, could you link where she said it?

My first choice would be to fix the ridiculously slow FNAB rate of fire to a 600 base and 690 max and leave it in BR 2. This would match it PERFECTLY with the PPS-42 and put it right where it should be.

If the Dev’s continue to refuse to fix it, YES, then drop it to BR 1 because it currently is a basket case in BR2 and there is no reason to use it.

This has been a topic for quite some time and Gaijin has so far not done shit about it other then ignore it. Fix it or drop it, but stop ignoring players requests about it. :no_good_man: As my father used to say, “Shit or get off the pot!”

Man do we really need 800 rpm guns in BR2?

I talked about many guns but I didn’t mention the fnab , you might’ve confused it with the orita ?

And needless to say that a 800 (920 with upgrade rpm ) 40 round won’t be BR 2 material.

Move it to BR III then

Move it up to BR III / IV but at least buff the ROF

40 rounds of 9x19 ammunition, 690 RPM …emm, that sounds like Beretta M38A 40, which is BR 3.

800 base and 920 max, this will be another option for Axis BR4 besides Kiraly.

No, it would get it’s BR changed to BR3 in the process, but it’s the idea of it being the correct 800 something RPM that I’m excited about.

The Germans already have a 40 round Beretta M38/42 at BR2, so adding the FNAB with a 40 round mag at 600-690 shouldn’t be an issue. And to be honest, upgrading the FNAB is NOT going to change the balance of power in BR2 smg’s, it merely makes the FNAB usable. It could be argued that the PPS-43 should be BR3 as well with it’s higher rate of fire, so, it’s all apples and oranges when comparing. Even if the FNAB were upgraded to M38/40 ROF of 630 it would still be a huge improvement and make it somewhat usable. As it currently sits, it is unusable at BR2. Also, I would NOT be in favor of upgrading the FNAB to the 837 ROF, and if it were then it should be BR3. 600-690 BR2 or drop it to BR1.

Beretta M38-42
FNAB 43

Which is absolutely how this should be - Germany has tonns of BR2 SMGs, move some up to BR3 is only logical.
