Move the first unlocked BR2 machine guns (Breda Mod 30, Vickers-Berthier, Madsen, and Type 11) to BR1

Each nation in game has some decent SMGs on BR1, but for some reason, no LMGs. I think that this could be changed though, with the first MGs unlocked from each nation’s tech tree being lowered to BR1. These MGs (including the Breda Mod 30, Madsen, Type 11, Vickers-Berthier) each have noticable drawbacks compared to other MGs on the same BR. A few of these drawbacks compared to BR2 MGs are lower magazine count, slower rate of fire, bad sights, and worse recoil. Due to these reasons, I propose lowering the Type 11, Vickers-Berthier, Madsen, and Breda Mod 30 to BR1.

Should the first unlocked LMGs for each nation be moved to BR1?

The Madsen has no other alternative on BR2 in the game.

If push comes to shove, BR2 soviets can take the same gun they’ve been using on BR2, only with a new rating, and use it on BR2. There needs to be a new BR2 MG for them like the 25 round DP, but that shouldn’t be a reason to hold it back.

They can use a BR1 Madsen in BR2 until a better MG is on BR2. It’s the same gun that’s been BR2 for a while. That’s what I was trying to say.

I had the very same idea before, but keep in mind that vickers-berthier has a hidden bonus of zero moving spread increase while moving (bug?). That and its lower recoil makes it superior to the br2 brens.

Also, zb-26 could be lowered to br 1 if it gets its correct rate of fire of 500rpm.

I don’t think people realize just how bad br 1 weapons are. Machine guns would be op.

The best BR 1?? :rofl: they have literally 1 choice of SMG and bolt actions. Only thing decent they have is their premium SMG.

The Mosin 1938 Carbine is just as good as the USMC Springfield and the Kar98k. The PPD-34 is one of if not the best BR1 SMGs, the PTRS is second to the Type 97, the Yak-1 is the best BR1 plane, and Soviet BR1 tanks are second to just German BR1 tanks.

The Soviets have the most consistently good equipment at BR1, with no major deficiencies across the board.

USA have 3 better choices of SMGs and even Germany has a better choice.
Best vehicle? Pz.III J and M5A1 are significantly better than the BT-7
No one cares about the AT rifles but the solothurn and type 97 are better.
Soviets don’t even have an attacker aircraft outside of an unavailable premium
