Good job buddy, so now take the Sherman into the practice range and show me where it can pen the Chi-Nu.
(Also just so you know, just because the reticle is green doesn’t mean it’s going to pen. The reticle has the same problem as the War Thunder protection map. Trust someone more experienced than you)
Cool man. I shot it right there and it penned
You’re missing the point, you had to shoot small weakspots just to pen a tank at the same BR as yours, a tank that can also one-tap your tank just by looking in your direction.
Well we were shooting the m4 105 correct? You know the one with more armor than the m4a2. Cuz it’s even easier to kill the m4a2
Actually since we were shooting the m4 105 show me all the places it can pen the chi nu
I’m working out right now so give me a minute, but oh god buddy doesn’t even know the power of the 105 Sherman
I do. and i happen to know it doesnt do well against japanese tanks
Wait sorry got mixed up with chi to
Tbf they look somewhat similar and the chi to is very good against the 105.
Just listen to the person with more experience, for your own sake I’m getting second hand embarrassment.
F off pal. It’s an easy to make mix up. Now while the other things I said are still true. I will say I got certain aspects of the chi to and chi nu mixed up. Let me take a second look at the armor and compare it to the ho i
You’re the one that tried bringing hours and experience into the conversation, don’t blame me for using it against you.
Ok the armor is somewhat worse than I originally thought. In br 2 it would be a tough nut to crack but almost identical to the ho I. They also have practically the same reload. But this does better against armor. It would be a direct upgrade besides stability and a very slight downgrade in speed. Yeah I suppose it could go down to br 2. But I don’t want to see any more excuses for the m24 Chaffee not getting apcbc when this thing exists.
However I still think only chi nu 2 should go down to br 3 for now as the chi to is a direct upgrade over the pz 4 h: an already solid tank

At last, we agree. I still think the Ho-I is better for HE so I wouldn’t call the Chi-Nu a direct upgrade, but that’s besides the point. The Chi-Nu gets moved to BR2, the Chi-Nu II gets moved to BR3, and every AP shell gets replaced by APCBC.
I was working under the assumption that chi nu had rhe same armor as the chi to
We are now in the realm of completely friendly and non hostile conversation. I was curious on why you think the ho I is better for he. They have the same he round, while chi nu has more stowage and ho I had heat. They only have .1 second difference in reload
The Ho-I has 23 HE and 23 HEAT shells if I’m not mistaken, the Chi-Nu has 24 HE shells. So that’s 46 vs 24, the Ho-I has nearly double the HE potential while retaining a decent amount of anti-tank capability.
Plus having HEAT also comes with the added bonus of being able to respond to tanks faster rather than having to throw an HE shell into the dirt and switch to AP.
