The Bf 109 G14 is a fighter in Germany’s selection of BR5 aircraft, and despite the large potential it possess, is very weak as it is. It has a great array of cannons which work great against enemy aircraft, but it can only do just that, as it lacks any effective way to engage ground targets. This heavily lowers any incentive to use this fighter, as pretty much every single other fighter, especially around this rating, has a decent payload in addition to adequate armament against enemy aircraft.
Additionally, it is essentially just a slightly worse version of the lower BR Bf 109 G10, placed a BR higher. Simply by looking at the model number it would be assumed the G14 is superior, however this is not the case, as the two have the exact same set of guns and a near identical turn speed, but the G10 has a more powerful engine that has a higher max speed (726.47 versus 696.95 Kph).
Given these facts, I propose two buffs to the Bf 109 G14 to put it into a position where it can be useful. The first is to lower the battle rating to BR4, where the G10 currently sits. Doing so will take it out of BR5 queues that have much more powerful aircraft (namely jets) and fight aircraft more on it’s power level. The second is to give this plane armament so it has reason to be used, that being a 250kg SC250 JA bomb. The bomb is fairly potent and isn’t by any means hard to use effectively, but won’t be too powerful by any means considering the P51D and Ki-100 ( both on BR3) have two 250kg bombs.
