Move Soviet spawns closer to the artillery positions so that they can actually defend

With the current Soviet spawn placement, it takes way too long for them to be able to reach the point they’re supposed to defend, which lets Germans simply plugwalk in and hold it with little effective resistance. This is especially egregious with the later points of the map, which are supposed to be where defenders have the biggest advantage due to being on their last legs, but they have to make the same agonising trek through no man’s land while Germans are wiping them with ease. The spawns are too in-favour of Germany, who already gets mortars with unlimited ammo to deny Soviets from covering the point at all. Moving the spawns closer to the point would allow them to actually mount a defence rather than Germany always winning this mode.

Whenever Germany is on the defending side, you’ll notice it has nothing to do with the spawn distances as they often lock down the enemy and hold their ground at the first point, taking out half of the attackers tickets there and then.

It has everything to do with Russia having a smaller playerbase, leading to their teams getting filled up by bots

You imply Germans are ever on the defending side, but yes, they are still overpowered regardless of if they were.

Germany is on the defending side quite often. Got like 3 defense invasion matches just today

I would say more to do with how premiums are far more common on the German side than on the Russian side.

Even during this weekend, where a lot of people are playing due to the drops, I still see 1-3 bots on the Russian side most of the time

You do know that it goes both ways, right!? Both factions get chance to defend. And one faction does not magically get a closer spawn point.

But it is a plague even among actual soviet players that they try fighting harder instead of smarter.
I just had one window-licker spend ages disassembling fortifications an engineer spammed on a single door just to get immediately gunned down, while all the while I was laying inside shooting the German team because I climbed through the unbarricaded window next to the spam.

i have played like 20 games today with soviets and guess how many time did i win ? 0

it does not have anything to do with spawns it’s just that maybe germans are overpowered or it’s just that there is too many bots in soviet faction with it’s smaller playerbase , so i tried to play only 1 game as german and guess what , we won with more 300 troups left , we got the first point by loosing only 10 troops !!! how is this difference possible , it’s really unplayable with soviets

Again, it’s the playerbase difference.
Russia doesn’t win because it doesn’t retain players because it doesn’t win. It’s stuck in that cycle right now.

A few players are sticking with it, but for the most part Russia is just bots and low levels because players are quitting Russia to go to Germany because they want a free win.

I suggested a while back to break the cycle by forcing players to queue Russia, but they would probably just quit the match when that happens.

I’d say that the 7th, 9th and 10th player on your team are bots, while maybe only the 10th player on the german side is a but, but 10/6 is decent enough to be an actual player.
11/10 is definitely a bot
9/13 is definitely a bot
8/6 miiight be a player, but probably bot

So in practice you are fighting a 7 vs 9, if my predictions are correct. Still waiting for the devs to show us who is a bot and who is not to 100% confirm this.

On top of that, all your teammates past 5th place has terrible K/Ds, while all german players at least match your 5th player’s K/D, as overall, german players are often better than other nations in WW2 games. You notice it most when italy or japan are also included in such game, which perform noticably worse.

For a while all russian guns had a 20%+ higher damage output and they still lost a lot. Meanwhile a lot of German players complained about the balance on paper (it would always be German players saying guns should do equal damage while Russian players defended it through winrates) and left the game because of it, so they reverted it.

If you’re talking about War Thunder, I don’t consider that to be the case. Germany in War Thunder has a large community because it’s Germany and no other reason.
In most cases in early tiers, Italian and Japanese vehicles are severely overtiered stat-wise so around reserves, players first trying to learn Italy and Japan do poorly and quit.

The players who stick through with them in later tiers tend to perform better than German players, as all the bads quit those nations at low tiers.

That’s also why the BR system is flawed. American and German vehicles become undertiered because the window-lickers that can’t play any other country drives their averages down so vehicles that don’t need buffs get buffed…

literally a 6v10 … it’s like a 1v2 wtf is this ? can someone create a post about bots filling up soviet teams ? it’s killing the gameplay i have the full founder version but i prefer playing soviets and here is what’s happening , i could go just play german and win all my games but what about people who wants to play soviets (just like me) it’s not funny , it’s not a game when you know that what ever youa re going to do you’ll loose it anyway , almost 30 or 40 games today and only 2 wins , i guess the devs have the winrate of germans …

Soviets lose because of bots
Because Soviet players lose, they stop playing Soviets
Because they stop playing Soviets, bots are needed to compensate

The cycle never ends.

They tried artificially buffing the Russian guns to do +20% damage across the board, but that only made Germany players leave instead, so they reverted it.

“Killing the gameplay?” Well, you can’t force people to play Soviets. They’ll just leave the match over and over until they either get a match as Germany, or stop playing the game entirely.

another solution would be to buff experience to players on the side with more bots.

Or better yet, buff experience to the side with the lower total campaign level, with a greater buff the greater the difference.

But what if there is less players on one side, but their campaign level is higher?

counting bots as having a campaign level of 1?
Seems like it’s probably somewhat in their favor yet.

There will still be moments where one side is like 10x level 10, with the other side 8x level 18 + 2x bots. That’d lead to diffrent results within the 2 metrics
