Moving all low BR paras to BR 3 will make users see a progression type system in moving up in the game.
Just like moving from bolties to semis to full autos.
This also keeps paras from BR1 and being able to unlock things like flamethrowers and torching all the newbies.
Either take out all the br3 weapons from para’s or move them up a br

I’d be fine with either solution, just keep BR 3 gear out of BR 1 matches!

Nah I don’t believe in safe spaces

BR1 German Paras wouldn’t stand a chance in BR3.
And I spent gold for that BRI para, why should it suffer?

if they cant get br 3 weapons then keep them as br1

what about my fg42 paras?
Should I run fg42 in br3? that would be “nice”, eh?
you dont start the game at br 3, by the time you are br 3, you should be ready to face higher br 4 paras
this is to encourage new players to stick around instead of having matches that just get them curb stomped with weapons they are unable to obtain until they have completed some of the grind.

Exactly my thoughts too, this game is hard enough for newbies as is (just look at how they tend to perform) with so many things to learn and get used to and understand, the playerbase is not growing right now already and hasn’t been for months which is very bad for a F2P game like this, specialists like paras and partisans that break the rules as their gimmick should never be able to see BR1 just for that reason alone.

If only the flamer was desirable to use outside of the novelty.
It has been nerfed harder than the WP at this point.
This would not work due to the USSR paras not beeing tied to a weapon to nerf their BR.
And even those that feature a low BR gun would just be terrible as their gun was not designed to be used in BR 3.
flamethrowers really arent as good as they used to be with the movement speed nerf
being able to smuggle 2 flamethrowers in at br2 with one squad in the whole game doesnt create much of a problem

The paratrooper flamethrowers available to the Italian paratroopers both have less fuel and the shortest range possible for flamethrowers.
There are literally SMGs more capable of inflicting a higher casualty count more reliably that you can equip entire squads with at this BR.
Paratroopers also don’t get nearly enough BR 3 equipment to influence the firepower of the player calling them in, nor are they fast to call in at all if you do, for masochistic reasons, decide to cycle paratrooper squads and spend half your time inside a plane or dropping from the air.

I think the best option is just to make them all like the Soviets para, with completely changeable weapons loadouts. Then if DF wants to keep them out of say, level one, then restrict them to level’s 2 and up.
I did once use my level one German Paratroopers in level five, and got away with it because it was the last cap point, and I dropped in behind the cap point as all the defenders had left it vacant to go on a search and destroy mission, and I had it captured before they returned and killed all my soldiers. I had one remaining.
