matter of fact, i made my volkssturm bikers of berlin using a panzerfaust and engineer with both g43s kurtz.

truly glorious.

considering that bikes can enter houses ( that has at least double doors ), there are hardly many restrictions.

you gotta master the steering wheel and compensate for the lack of power on stiff hills and what not unless you have an actual driver with all of it’s driver perks though.

but definitely worthed for a quick mobile mg. or place a rally fast for a flanking maneuver.

only issues, it’s more viable towards latter tiers during the merge as everyone in early tiers having anti tank rifle and you can die from just one shot even if it’s in the sidecart / wheel.

but definitely one of the best squad.

I forgot they have an MG. I’ll probably give the free one a try after the merge and do as you say.
What would be the advantage over a built MG?

Rapid displacement and choice of firing position
Plus digging them into firing positions is great fun

  • no overheat mechanic
  • faster reload compared to the overheat’s cooldown of the emplaced machinegun
  • it’s mobile
  • can reposition
  • fast & ( ovviously ) you don’t need to place it.
  • accurate with almost no dispersion

can go somewhat in houses and it’s relatively fast on roads ( not so much off road though )

but, it has a couple of “issues”

  • dismount time without the perk can be detrimental
  • reverse speed is pitifull
  • the bike it self it’s paper thin.
    it can sustain some small fires, but the personell not so much.
    and as said, anti tank rifle can one tap you no matter where someone shoots
  • maneuverability is kinda a pain to deal with the first times.
  • it makes the aim bounces quite often and sometimes can be boring / annoying ( due to the despite being immobile ).
  • almost no gun depression. ( making it hard to engage targets that can be lower than you. for example, hills on the upside, or generally, if you are on the high ground )

but beside those, i’d argue it’s one of the best squad.
hella fun and if used correctly can be really powerful as an valid asset.

the way i usually recommend to use it is, initially ,since you will have no engys, try to support and cover allied tanks or allied paras.

support the infantry from afar, and reposition your self when making few kills.

use the cover of buildings to protect at least the driver and expose only for half the gunner ( so that you can peak corners, return fire, and dip as soon as you need ) at the same time, don’t stick too much close to walls and buildings, as you may stuck your self when attempting to evade from fire and if you are too close, you might remain stuck and as previously said, don’t relay on the reverse speed. .

or, if you go for the tank hunter ( which, you don’t necessarily need a rider to drive the bike. you can have both an assaulter/anti tank trooper and one engineer at the same time ) use the bike and with the ohnrofer/m1/m9 bazooka ( or with the upcoming merge, panzerfausts & piats in tier III ) you can go around the borders of the map, place a rally, jump on the bike and ambush tanks from the sides while they least expect it.

it’s really great.
but, someone might use it differently.

so far, it worked for me that way.

This can be mitigated with a shovel on every man thank god
I remember @SHIGUDUOFA1989 and I digging entire trenches when Tunis first came out and using them for MG nests
It was great

Now tunis is too full of tryhards that anything fun there is impossible

yeah, but sometimes it’s not always possible to dig inside houses or over edges / rocks.

but yeah, could mitigate some usages if on regular ground :+1:

the only downside for bike imo is that it have ammo unlike mg nest since mg nest have no ammo you can “technically” fire infinite ammo as long as you can control the overheat that is

we need an updated version of this squad, for germans maybe with a mg 42 or something like that if it’s in a bike and if not, give us something bit stronger yey
