Mosin rifle with flamethrougher

Well, a good time to give Mosin rifle with a flamethrower, I guess
A spring comes, we have to deal with a snow, comrades. Lets us fight the snowman with a experimental Mosin rifle flamethrower.:woman_firefighter::melting_face::hugs::cherry_blossom::herb::dove:

some description by R.Chumak

A hybrid based on the Mosin rifle and the ROX flamethrower
A “hedgehog-snake hybrid” that could both throw a fiery mixture and “hit the enemy with rifle fire, bayonet, and butt.” Well, or cook kebabs in very combat conditions.
In 1943, the Red Army was armed with ROKS flamethrowers (Klyuev-Sergeev knapsack flamethrower). These were quite successful models that worked on the principle of throwing an incendiary mixture with compressed air. However, the range of the flamethrower was only 40 meters, which was quite small even by the standards of close combat. In part, they tried to compensate for this by using flamethrowers as part of special groups, where ordinary soldiers covered the carrier of valuable weapons.
But anything can happen in war, and so the officers from Leningrad armed the flamethrower with a rifle or a rifleman with a flamethrower rifle, just in case.
At the shooting range, the test of the new sample began with throwing ordinary water instead of incendiary mixture. And for good reason, because this experience revealed problems with the valve of the flamethrower, a leak in the connection of the end of the hose, as well as a loosening of the attachment of the flamethrower to the rifle stock. It was also measured during the tests that the process of removing a flamethrower from a rifle takes 27-33 seconds. To speed it up, it was planned to introduce a quick-release nut-MOUTH connection.
The flamethrower tank was charged with a mixture of gasoline, which was filled with OP-2 powder (2 kg per 100 liters). In fact, it was our Soviet napalm, a viscous fire mixture capable of flowing into cracks and sticking to surfaces. A converted rifle cartridge was used as an igniter, in the sleeve of which the composition of the “star of the illuminating fire” was added and a wooden training bullet was placed.

I wonder if this will be br 3 or 4. Mosin is quite weak gun but premium/event flame squads always have 4 flametroopers which is too powerful for br 3

Let me say - II br, cause we have italian 6 flames Paras at br II

That is incorrect. Og-43 squad only gets 2 flamers in low br lobbies.

Not to mention that lanciaflamme 41 got only 100 fuel and low range. You also need to land the squad to get these flamethrowers which is slower and not as safe as just spawning on a rally.

Well, since this is interesting, for the German side, you could use Finnish equipment as counterparts. The coaxial Suomi, PPSh, and flamethrower—these could be in a pre-order pack.

But compared to flamethrowers, the current ones are straight-up garbage. If we check back to the October 2023 update, the flamethrower’s fire column diameter was reduced, the ground burn time was shortened, and even earlier, the movement speed was lowered.

Right now, flamethrowers are basically useless. If I get hit by one, I’ll just trade one-for-one with the enemy immediately. Unless they revert flamethrowers back to how they were, they’re completely worthless.

I’m glad the Soviets finally got a proper flamethrower squad. Now only Japan doesn’t have one. But at its current strength, the flamethrower is worse than just lighting a firecracker for fun.

Yeah, when the Italian flamethrower was first added, they gave 6 skirmishers with 6 flamethrower shots. It wasn’t a lot, but it was the real BR2.

So giving low‑tier BR flamethrowers isn’t impossible. Too bad flamethrowers are just way too weak now. They’re so bad that I can take one shot, and the enemy can land just a couple bullets and take out the flamethrower soldier instantly.

I’d be better off just cooking a grenade and throwing it myself—at least I won’t get traded one‑for‑one.

Yeah, that was back in the day. Back then, all six guys could carry flamethrowers—only now there are map restrictions. You can’t have six flamethrowers on certain maps anymore. I still remember this update was a game-changer: hordes of players started using the Italian flamethrower paratroopers in the Italian lineup for Tunisia, and it completely turned the tide on Italy getting clobbered by the British. You can tell just how popular flamethrowers were in the low BR tiers. If I were DF, I’d set the Mosin-Nagant flamethrower to BR2. At the very least, it’d sell a whole lot better that way.
