You’ve balanced all gameplay towards Normandy and made it stupid to assault any Invasion mode. Since Germany assaults nearly every time in Moscow, most players are choosing Soviets. It doesn’t matter because, when Soviets finally get an invasion assault, I crush them at the first or second point since they don’t know how to assault.
Also, the new “Assult” mode on Pokrovskoe City is a plain meatgrinder with not much else to it. Again, only German assaults. Its not even remotely fun. I quit out of it every time. Do more Conquests or let us choose better maps.
Who is we? I’ve always preferred the Conquests. Invasion defense has 5 second artillery, suicide planes (no point loss), rally points in front of the objective (with spawn protection), lowered points upon capture (hidden change three patches ago), and longer capture times. Tweak it one way and screw the other side.
I prefer Invasion and Assault over that BF like mode called Conquest while the Soviets have yet to get an assault map where they attack in Moscow as Prokrovskoye assault is always Germans attacking.
I do see alot of German teams get bogged down as attackers at the first cap of Vysokovo or even Monastery while easier for the Soviets to attack because of having the better SMGs that can do the job. It really depends on the team if the attacking team builds forwards spawns and actually do their role for the objective.
I think it’s the other way around. Finished Moscow campaign yesterday and Normandy feels like a downgrade. Starting from weapon sounds to animations and general color pallete of the map that feels like an acid trip.
I didn’t write “we were complaining about conquest”. I wrote that posts on forum have changed since CBT from “conquest bad” to your post. And I used “we went from” as we (mostly CBTs) see the change I described in the prewious sentence.

If that were true, then I wouldn’t be crushing the Soviets every time they try to attack Vysokovo village. I can’t remember ever losing a defense on that map since the patch.
Vysokovo Village is a much harder map as attackers in general compared to Monastery especially at the 1st and the 4th cap. As a Soviet main, even the Soviets get their own incompetent set of teams full of conscripts but just a few Soviet players who build spawn points like I do can be a huge game changer as long as other Soviet players do their roles like containing enemy tanks and planes while supporting the infantry to cap. Its more satisfying to crush Germans in Invasion especially when winning as attackers or its a very close battle instead of one sided matches like stuck at the first cap the entire game.
I see alot of teams struggle in conquest due to some just literally play for frags and ignoring the objectives or in some cases like in Fortified District, focus on B and ignore the rest.
Everyone gets bum teammates. Even with bum teammates, I don’t remember losing a Vysokovo defense since the change.
If you get bum teammates, at least the Conquests still end rather quickly. I can also turn bum teammates around in Conquests most of the time. In Invasions, that’s not possible all the time when Invasions limit your points but not the defenders.
I do have a few Vysokovo wins as attackers recently where one of them got me 183 kills in a single match with 175 points left. There was even one where we almost lost at the last cap as attackers with 0 points but my remaining teammates did capture the last one thus we ended up winning.
There is a flaw in invasion mode though where defenders should’ve gotten themselves tickets too forcing them to do some decision making like retreating when the attackers killed too many of them in a single cap like Red Orchestra 2 and Rising Storm 2 do where I see the last cap not having any resistance at all because the team stubbornly defending an early cap even when low on reinforcements.
That assault is just so bad. its easiest map for defender in whole campaing.
they should increase time it takes defender to re capture points. Even if attacker have 900 tickets left in last phase its still easy lose. Assault in general are pretty flawed cause its force attacker to split its forces while defenders can just rush to one point and if there is even 1 defender more point start turn back and prevents victory/moving to next phase
I personaly prefer Invasion or Assault over conquest…
The only conquest mode I had fun with was 5 cap one during Berlin test… every other conquest is just a generic soulless (and brainless) domination meatgrinder that can be found in any other PVP game.
“Do more conquest” - No thanks. It plays like a generic fps and the maps are just way too tiny. If anything, let us pick which game mode we wish to play.
We should be able to pick our game mode at least. However, I fail to see how one objective Invasion is larger than multiple objective Conquest. You can’t win Invasion Monastery by camping in Ludwig’s bakery in the town which is usually what players seem to want to do.
Longer maybe but not wider. Invasion maps are narrow. If you want to go somewhere else besides around the one point in Invasion, you lose. Once you take one point, you move to the next point and you’re done with what’s behind you. Most Invasion maps turn into a big meatgrinder once rally points are established. I can bomb one spot and kill 20-30 people every time.
Conquest maps have multiple strategies you can take to win. Fortified District is an example of a Conquest map larger than Invasion maps and 5 point maps in Berlin will be even better.
