Ever since the campaign days of Enlisted, one class has remained the same and has even been surpassed by another in its main role.
Mortarmen.
A class with one tier, a special weapon and no backpack slot available. Its perk points are nothing special.
It can carry small mortars, big mortars or grenade launchers like the RMN-50 or the Arisaka Mortar, the latter not being special to this class (not to mention this type of weapon is only available via battlepass or silver chests
Furthermore, paratroopers that grab the engineer package from their box can get mortars with double the ammo of standard mortarmen, essentially making the original squad obsolete.
What I propose:
- Add space for another mortarman (from 2 to 3) in the squad increasing the max size in that type of squad to 7 soldiers
- Double the ammo for mortars or reduce paratrooper mortar ammo
Should the developers add another mortarman soldier to the squad, increasing its size to 7 soldiers?
What should the developers do regarding mortar ammo?
- Increase mortarmen mortar ammo
- Decrease paratrooper mortar ammo
- Leave as is (No change)

if this is the issue id rather focus on doing something on para mortars then.
Mortars imo are good as they are now, regardless theres rather minor role for them.
But their perks and extras should be increased. After all this time, assaulters are like level gaxillions, snipers at 3, riflemen at 3 yet lowly mortars, my fallback guys that rain the rain, are subjected to nothingness after their mortar rounds have expired. Either more perks or more mortsr rounds / extra mortar guy.xxx

Ah, my favorite good weapon that makes no contribution to the battle.
Does clean certain open cap points rather well & in some maps works well on choke points.
And thats fine.
Conditional engineers with guns can do much more. And not only on open maps, but also when clearing buildings. Radiomen can also have more impact, simply because it’s easier for them to clear trenches.
I would also place AA for Mortars squads deploy, anyone how mastered AA can blown 6 to 8 aircraft in a match, and in a mortar squad it,s awesome since you can also operate a ‘‘artilhary’’ to pick up ground targuets alike.
has for ammo, can they just have Ammo pouch effect in the mortar? it would solve the ammo problems.
requires a line of sight but maybe I guess.
Well dont try to mortar the building.
Put a marker at otherside of the said building and shoot once every ~1-3 seconds you get rather continuous spam with acceptable accuracy to enemy side entrande of said building.
Rather long cool time for artillery that can be prevented by simply going prone most of time.
And anyway, no reason to add nukes to mortars just because something else is better.
