Mortar Aim needs to be seperate from regular aim

While using the mortar i realized there’s no way to change the way you aim with the mortar without completely F-ing up that way you normally aim… would be soo much friggen easier to use the mortar if i could aim it with WSAD…

i guess you can kinda jerry-rig it by adding a modifier to the 2nd keyboard bind slot but the whole thing just feels sloppy when done that way

The Two-Inch Mortar that you can use… the aim is tied together with regular aim… i find it cancels the mortar mid use a lot when you have to move the mouse around to aim it… also its kind of annoying having to use the mouse to aim it…

I’ve never had an issue with mouse movement cancelling it. And I don’t get why using a mouse to aim an object is annoying but to each their own I guess

i find the using the keys to aim it a whole lot easier, you don’t have to sit there constantly picking your mouse up when it reaches the end of the pad and the stability of using keys to adjust the aim feels more realistic to me.

like honestly i don’t mind the left and right aim on the mouse for the mortar its having the up and down on it that makes it feel weird

what i really want is to put the up and down aim on the mouse wheel but it doesn’t seem to wanna work for that bind for some reason… so i guess il have to settle with using alt as the modifier to enable WSAD aiming on the mortar for now… :unamused:

It’s odd that you’re experiencing this still, as it was fixed in Update 0.1.19.50 (Update 0.1.19.50 - News - Enlisted)

  • A bug that caused aiming mode to not turn on after changing the mortar man to another soldier has been fixed.

Maybe this is not the same issue? If that’s the case, for sure should be addressed.
