What do players prefer for Soviet top tier SFR?
The AVS-36 has the higher rof, and a little more damage output but the AVT-40 is a little more controllable.

  • AVS-36 all day long.
  • AVT-40 for the win.

Avs 36 for the rifleman which are usually rushing cqc… avt for the engis to pick off targets at range shooting at them… then again you can just tap fire.

Deff this. Between Fed 25, Gorov, AKT-40 I like to rotate em for variety, but among the sweats AVS-36 is deff ahead in use, esp after the flash blinding removal few patches ago.

I used to really hate on this weapon but it is only one of a few weapons actually harder to use on console… when I was able to use it with mouse I quickly changed my opinion

The AVT is good and I consider it the better SFR, but I quite prefer using the AVS. It does have a much stronger kick, but for whatever reason I find it much more fun to play than the AVT.

I mainly use the AVT-40 because of the controllability and use the AVS-36 for my radioman backup weapon. I like both though.
