Long Range. No.
Medium Range. Depends on which SMG or AR.
Federov works nicely for shorter range, but starts lacking a little bit at mid range.
MkB42 and STG 44 aren’t bad at close range, but are in fact a bit more accurate and effective at medium range, ESPECIALLY if you switch them over to single fire rather than full auto.
(personally I only switch on full auto when I get into close range. Any other time its semi-auto for me. Same applies to Fg42, BAR, etc.)
Moscow is actually fairly balanced in terms of equipment, you just have to know how to use them at their strengths.

What means favoritsm? Without it, anything past the Panzer IVs would be unkillable for Soviet infantry (in Berlin) beyond TNT and nuke packs.
The Germans have no real need for captured stuff with merge beyond “historical accuracy”.
You can surely get your captured PTRS only tor realize it will also suck ass against a T-34 compared to the GrB.

The soviets had lend lease bazookas and captured panzershrecks but they mostly relied on at rifles. M1, m9, Ptrs or ptrd would be underpowered in berlin so they chose to add panzershrecks

Soviet developed a bazooka protoype before the war but was rejected, they prefere use anti-tank granade rpg40/rpg43 and anti-tank rifle for all the war, only wen they start pushing german back in Europe during the 44 they replaced the anti-tank rifle with the massive ammount of captured panzerfaust

In late war they get some bazooka from the US but after initial testing soviet high command considered the bazooka useless aganaist german tank and stopped using him

Also since PPSh is Tier V together with StG and MP43, there is no reason for Captured German PPSh balance-wise.
For the 192748293rd time now, unlike German PPSh or any German captured stuff, Soviets need Panzerfaust to be able to kill Panthers+ since the Soviets had only like one rejected proto and I bet if they did add it to the game, you and PsychoParrot would complain that they got another proto, as you guys do with the AS.
