I. USSR, USA and Germany benefited a lot from the Merge in terms of the amount of squads and the ability to cycle them compared to Japan, who only ever received the squads from its only campaign.
As such, most veteran players can cycle 3 x assaulters/tanks/planes or whatever they want, while Japan is always limited to its very few squads.
Personally I didn’t even finish grinding Tunisia, Normandy or Pacific, yet still the difference in squads amount is huge:

Moreover, veteran players can also have 5 separate BR presets for any faction but not for Japan (e.g. Japan only has 2 Engineer squads).
II. Veteran players aside (let’s say it’s their privilege), even with the current tech tree selection Japan is still lacking vehicles and squads for them to compete against Soviet/American vehicle players.
Here is what a BR3 Soviet player can do in the sky if he wants domination in the air:
2 x fighters, 2 x bombers

And here is his Japanese BR3 counterpart (maximum two spawns and you’re locked):
1 x fighter, 1 x bomber

An American BR2 player can do this:
Up to 3 x fighters and 2 x bombers

And his Japanese BR3 counterpart:
1 x fighter, 1 x bomber

III. As far as Japan’s BR 4/5 goes, I don’t play it but from what I can see all of the top tier planes are also locked to one single squad.
Poll - make Japan more competitive by adding more tech tree/event squads and vehicles of various BRs to allow for similar versatility/flexibility like that of USSR and USA.
- Yes
- No
