It looks to me like the soviets have been getting pretty lame event reward main guns in comparison to axis and allies. Might be that I’ve missed something, but I have the following:
Allies got:
- Stinger, a unique high capacity, high ROF MG
- Thompson .30 cal (thompson with higher damage)
- Lancaster 50 (Unique lancaster with extended mag)
Axis got:
- Gewehr 98 wartime mod (bolt with 25rd mag)
- Carcano Semi (BR 4 20rd unique semi-auto)
- Luftfaust (unique but a bit pointless)
- MP-41r (fun unique SMG)
- Kar98k winter mod (standard 98k sniper with skin mod)
Soviets got:
- PPS-42 red (PPS-42 with red skin mod)
- Moisin 91 sniper with a skin mod.
This isn’t complaint that the other factions have cool stuff - that’s great. But the soviets (and Japanese) should both also get more functionally unique and interesting event reward guns in the future.

Axis has extremely strong GO weapons as well.
Well, it’s not like Soviets don’t have enough event rewards, nearly half of my BR5 lineup are event rewards.
They just didnt have many armory events.

I know, but I think it’s good to remind for context that Soviets are definitely not short of very good event rewards.

I know, but DF is giving Soviets most op guns into the TT or as premiums so they don’t even really bother to add them with events or even adding cool gold order weapons (RPK and RMN-50 were the fun exceptions)
PS you shouldn’t forget about AT-44 for Soviets.
They should add wacky guns like:
Korovin AK-45
Tokarev pistol carbine
SVS-53
Simonov RPS-3 light machine gun (could be a BR2 or BR3 MG)

That’s fair, but I specifically didn’t wanna make this an overall balance discussion feat 200rd MG42 and body armor. Lets just stick to event guns please. 
I specifically ignored all squads and vehicles simply because 1.) this is not about them and 2.) I couldnt be bothered to catalogue all of that shit and 3.) but what about the Horn-STG (and I specifically didn’t wanna make this into a total who got what when analysis and comparison complaint thread)
And that’s great and exactly in the spirit of the thread. I’m asking for unique, not just visual mod guns. They don’t need to be the best, they should just be new, interesting and usable.
This is machine pistol I like to remind and in this configuration I see it being added as SMG but
This I can see it being the machine pistol for soviets(Its the same gun )(it looks kinda like Frommer stop machine pistol with barrel extending out like that )

It’s only slightly better than most crappy premium - stg45, it’s inferior to AS-44 especially premium version that has literally zero recoil thanks to the 30 yellow perk points. But they have unique model and sound while shooting so they are worth using from time to time. Realistically it should go down in BR to 4.
