The US tanker 3 squad is lacking compared to nations like Germany or the Soviet. I suggest that instead of adding more late war vehicles they should add a M4 Sherman to the TT only assigned to the tanker 3 squad, the model is already being used for the calliope and the damage model could be transferred over from WT, if you look historically too the US 66th armored regiment use lots of 75mm Sherman’s because that’s all they had for the invasion of Normandy and for lighter vehicles they used M5a1 Stuart’s. Maybe they should practically turn the 66th the legacy 69th squad. It would be historically accurate and add more variety for the US. This would be akin to how the tanker 3 squad for soviets can use the T-28E for some reason.
Yes-add more Sherman’s
No-there are enough Sherman’s and variety for US tanks
Even if not add the M4, why not add stuff like the M4A6 to the TT, it would be BR III with the 75mm and would be available for the US tanker 2 and 3 squad
Gaijin could also add something like a firefly premium again but instead it would be polish, the British gave lots of polish units firefly’s and because polish troops fought with both soviets and the British is could be apart of either faction, maybe even for the soviets we could see the Yugoslav Sherman firefly with the 122mm is-2 cannon they put in there, this of course would be BR V as not to make it to OP because the 122mm is already mainly seen in BR V and with the faster mobility of a Sherman it would be a monster-here is the historical photo for reference
I mean they could also add something like the Zipo with the built in flame thrower as a premium or even crab Sherman to get rid of mines and be fun way to kill infantry
Hell they could add a m7 priest into BR III as a stand in for the m4a3 105 because the open top would mean it’s easier to knock out but with the same role of lobbing HE
the flamethrower version is interesting, but then it turns out that the Americans have two flamethrower tanks, after the Japanese have 0, in principle, you can add more, but not yet.
Yes but only the M4A3 (75) W. It being the most iconic version and diffrent enough from the versions we have at the moment to justify it being put in. Well, it and a tech tree Firefly.
A 76MM at BR3? Wouldnt that be OP and make the others bad. Well I gusse not considering the HE is much worse. In fact maybe all the 76MM shermans should go down to BR3. Give the players the option between anti infantry vs anti tank. Historicly during the war some units prefered the 75 vs 76. It would very neat to let players make the same choices that were made during the war. Shermans should not be facing Tigers, King tigers, and panthers anyway.
At least add more American representation in br3, it’s mostly British tt squad in the range with the assaulted iii squad being there, the attacker pilot ii being there, and the tanker ii being there, it’s just bs how American vehicles are locked behind British troops. Yes the commonwealth had a tremendous influence on the war but if your gonna have common wealth representation give us common wealth vehicles not lend leased Sherman’s and not lock those Sherman’s behind legacy squads and a British squad
The m7 priest is an icon on ww2 and it had multiple variants, because it was so common it would be tt and we could have a kangaroo as an apc which is just a sexton without the gun, we could get a sexton as a British version or premium
It’s hilarious that US tree has M4A2 and M4A2(76)W that was used only by USSR yet doesn’t have M4A3 (other than 105) let alone M4A3(76)W which is one of more well known US tanks.
Only the marines us the m4a2 but it was only a 75mm and they preferred the a2 because it used diesel. For a game that markets itself on realism and accuracy it doesn’t do well when held to that regard
M4A2 was used by the US marine corps, lend-leased to Commonwealth alongside USSR.
However the US already has the M4A1 Sherman which is also the second most iconic variant after the M4 Sherman.
