Agree, semis+smgs should be separated from SF rifles and ARs.
However most powerful smgs like Thompson 100 (both Soviet + USA) and Conders should be placed at BR6.
The problem is that content is not balanced towards 3 BRs. But is is balanced towards 5 BRs while we actually have only 3 queues. (4 with current hard rule for BR1).
This creates only completely nonsensical imbalances. Especially for BR4.
There’s basically no reason to play BR4 lineup unless you want to be willingly in disadvantage.
Or you can keep deserting until you end up in BR3-4 match thanks to the soft rule. But in the case you will end up having pretty decent advantage, especially on the vehicle side of things.
This game could easily do well with only 4 BRs and -/+ 0 MM.
Can’t have rally points if the beginning players are not taught how to build them in a tutorial. I’m sorry but a splash screen with a word wall is no way to teach players how to use new classes. If there was an active tutorial that brings the player into the test range to show the new abilities more people would build rallies, ammo depots, Mark things, etc.
So yes, weapons and vehicles are the balance points at the moment because lazy devs are lazy with showing the player base how to do things.
A large part of BR3 players just want to crush BR2 players and don’t want to bear the fact that they will be crushed by BR5. This is a manifestation of selfishness and immaturity. When I was playing BR2 and saw those damn Sherman tanks, T34, and Panzer IV tanks madly throwing HE spam at me, I knew that it was time to have a BR5 battle to teach these bastards a little lesson.
If faction is shit, nobody will play them. And if no one plays them, no one can even technically build rallies.
Was the case with old order like Tunisia Axis or Berlin Allies.
I’m not sure DF needs a BR6 if they would just “KEEP BR3 OUT OF BR5” matches. I don’t ever see DF going to a true 0/0 BR rating, but if they would just stick to their 1/1 making that the PERMANANT rule for all factions that would end a lot of frustration from people who want to play BR3 Japanese/Allies but get punked into a BR5. If I had my way, I would make BR5 a stand alone battle rating. 1-2, 3-4 and 5. Not enough players? BS. I’m sure some people desert as soon as they find that their level 3 squads are in a level 5 match.
