How about some free kills to start my monday morning…without even firing a single buttet!
Check this out.
I join the battle.
I spawn as attacker pilot in my A20.
Notice the ammount of ammo before shooting a single bullet.
First I kill some ground infantry with my M8 rockets.
I also shoot my MGs and I refill my ammo.
Then a friendly air raid is coming.
An enemy fighter is behind our bombers.
I fly towards the air raid to kill the fighter.
Before I reach him, I get credited with two ground kills with a .50 cal (12.7mm M2 browning).
I see white and a red hit marker, as if I am currently shooting and hitting (which I am not).
Notice I have not fired a single bullet yet after reloading ammo.
I did kill some infantry with rockets but there was quite some time between that and the weird kills, I dont think there were wounded enemies who died later.
I even went to reload my ammo.
And even if so, nobody in my team used a .50 cal to finish them off later.
I checked the replay.
The only thing I can think of, is that the MGs of the friendly bombers killed enemy infantry on the ground.
But they are shooting at the fighter, not ground infantry, I presume.
The pilot of the fighter is not killed by the bombers, I killed him after this incident.
The two ground kills should not be credited to me, I didnt fire at them and I didnt call in the air raid, and nobody else than the air raid bombers were using .50 cals.
What’s your opinion?
(only other thing I dont get is the flame mark in the killfeed, I dont think that appears when I make the kill myself)
(I tried to record the replay but it was buggy and unwatchable)
