New weapons are always welcome. In the case of this Nambu Carbine, I believe it would be highly reasonable to add it to the pistol slot, just like we saw with the 32-round Artillery Luger.

I would agree with this but there’s no other alternative for a domestically produced pistol-calibre carbine for Japan.
Alternatively we could add a Grandpa type Nambu as a pistol slot option
That makes a lot of sense. I agree, that would probably be the better way to go.

Many such cases haha, sometimes it’s a relief to see something you’d once planned to cover, instead to be addressed by another like-minded individual. 
Does one of those exists with extended magazines? Or the maximum remains 8 rounds?
Either way it looks elegant and would make a fine addition.
Also as @prettymuchfucked said, it should definitely go into pistol slot. All other factions have their special, powerful ones:
- Germany got the automatic Broomhandle AND artillery luger
- Soviets got that miniature smg spray AND the elegant Veovodin
- Allies got the Shwartz 1911 AND the Mars pistol.
Japan got a funny gunblade. That proposed addition would be perfect.

There aren’t any extended magazines that I know of just yet, or at least off the top of my head. But there was a Nambu pistol prototype that had it’s own standard 15 round magazines (unfortunately not interchangeable)
If I do come across an extend mag or period appropriate extended magazine, I would suggest it as an option for this weapon so I’ll keep digging.
I’ll likely write a post about them at some point down the line, but it would be a perfect high capacity pistol similar to the Veovidin.
As for the pistol slot, I’ll mention that the Japanese actually semi standardized Mauser Pistols under the destination “Type Mo”. Furthermore there’s documentation both Spanish and Japanese about the sale of Mauser pistols through Japan to China and for private purchase within Japan. One such Spanish document is called “LAS PISTOLAS “ROYAL” Y “TIPO MAUSER”, PARA EL MERCADO CHINO”
So Japan could receive stocked Mauser pistols some of which were select fire like the Astra 902 and F type or the Royal M.M. 34 Mauser pistols.

Definitely shouldn’t be a battlepass weapon… devs run events rarely with these automatic sidearms yet found it fit to make it a BP weapon for soviets… but that could be chalked up to the usual soviet bias.

I’m not actually against adding it but i think this one should be added as sidearm just like artillery luger and cold swartz, mauser c96 mod. 712. rather than being added as pistol-calibre carbine.

I’d agree except this is the only domestic option that could be categorised as a pistol calibre carbine for Japan.
Japan has many other stocked pistols that could fill the sidearm slot that would be equally as unique in their own rights.

At this point, just have an SMG with small mag set to only semi-auto fire.
Something like Tokyo Arsenal with 18 round stick mag. Wound be abysmal with 1380 RPM on fullauto, but restricted to semi with usual 480 RPM like others, it would make for a fine PCC.
