I hoped mkb in moscow comes to stalingrad without any changes

but it became trooper-only, and of course the ammunition and performance would be limited.

it’s a pity to use that cool gun with nerfed performance and low ammo.
Personally, I wanted mkb to come out for assaulter

I think it’s better to limit the class than to use it with nerfed performance. But still thx for appearing

as far as anouncement goes, one can understand that it comes as semi-auto like the fg42 once spawned.

“This powerful and accurate rifle is highly effective at range as well as close combat (if you switch to automatic mode). Two versions can be found in Stalingrad: one with a telescopic sight for snipers and a standard version with iron sights for other classes.”

lets see how it is. i dont even own the sniper version in moscow yet lmao

Its the MP43 in Normandy. I have the MKB and MP43 and cant tell much of a difference

i did state that because of weapon firing rework/animations + power per shot. on stalingrad. so, lets see how it is there…

True. I cant imagine it would be bad. Its a literal assault rifle and there really is no way it will perform poorly

I wish it set to automatic mode
In the case of fg, it is set to semi-auto mode, so it is painful to press the y and h keys alternately.

As keofox said, I can’t imagine how high the recoil of the mkb would be, but they said mkb is still very effective, I don’t think there will be much change.

The problem is ammo, maybe 30/90 max? or 30/150 like Moscow.

Considering they said SMGs would be affected and the MKB is now being considered as a standard rifle doesnt that mean the damage and such will remain unchanged?

I’m not a developer so I don’t know.
but perosnally The damage probably won’t change either.
keofox said they nerfed recoil and ammo

In fact, I can’t predict how much the recoil will be increased.

aha. think of the FG42 and FG42II. the diffent could be huge even a samilar modle gun

imo Mkb42 sniper version is way cooler than Mp43, way better because of optics (its just a matter of habit before one get used to it but once you do you cant get enough) and i cant imagine how much of a spec op trooper feeling must that few soldiers had in real life as they carried it around, i mean you have an assault rifle … with optics… what more would you want  except more reliability, which isnt shown ingame currently

MKB looks disgusting, it tries to be as pretty as STG but fails miserably

MkB could also use a bayonet which makes it even cooler

ofc its earlier prototype, but i dont care about details i barely see while playing with it

it’s only my soldiers who are lazy then

It made sense to have the FG 42 set on semi auto, because it used to be as accurate as a bolt action, meaning ppl used it as a G43 with a bigger mag.

Only after the nerfs (which turned them into inaccurate rifle/ smg hybrids)
ppl started going full auto with these weapons to compensate for the lack of accuracy.

I don’t care, I’m just uncomfortable with it

Hopefully devs dont nerf it anyway. ammo or accuracy or anything.

People are forgeting its unlocked with engineer 2 squad so its already limited…
This time its limited to FULL ACCESS OVERLORDS only so everybody wont be running with it 24/7

I’m curious whether anyone has any additional sources for when the Mkb 42(H) was trialed on the Eastern Front? The current range of dates range from April to November 1942. But there are very loose references to units.

Osprey’s AK47 Kalashnikov series assault rifles has a mention of 30 of the 50 prototypes were deployed into the Kholm pocket which is up north near Leningrad - so about as far away from Stalingrad as you can get in the geographical context. I am not 100% on which units were actually issued with it. Even with the re-shuffling of units as there were throughout this period it seems unlikely that any of those weapons would find their way into Stalingrad. That leaves the other 20, but I can’t find any references to whether they were sent to any of the units operating in the SE of the Soviet Union.
I guess it would be nice to have a little bit more historical accuracy here, but just as the T-50 was also trialed around Leningrad, but found its way into the Moscow campaign, it would appear that the Mkb 42H will find its way into Stalingrad…
