I struggle to rationalize how these two weapons can be put on the same BR. The difference here makes old Uragan vs mp40 look like a perfectly balanced matchup. There can’t be any excuse, both event weapon, both AR, both can face BR2.
I am not arguing here about the historicity of the 15-round mag, and I am fully against its addition in the first place. However, since Mkb42-15 is already in-game and serves as the main reward of the current event, it should receive immediate balance adjustment, just like Spitfire Mk IX. From a balance perspective, Mkb 42-15 is not even competitive in BR2 because Mkb 35 already exists, and nobody has ever complained about Mkb 35 being op. Just let people have fun and play with the event weapon without being screwed.
It is just depressing that every single new event/bp addition for the Axis this year has been either totally useless or purposefully handicapped/nerfed by the devs. Solothurm S18-100, MP 40 (white), Scotti Naval Rifle, Sturmpanzer II, and now Mkb 42-15. I simply can’t comprehend the logic behind these balance moves.
I haven’t been impressed with the VG 1-5, I still preffer the G41 over it.
I like the 8mm Kurz G43 though, wouldn’t mind a lower BR version of that, imagine if we got the Mkb in br II or III with 10 rounds and not locked to the Assaulters? It’d be great, but not overpowering.
It is an interesting idea, but we all know the devs won’t add a unique feature to the Axis. Moreover, it will start another shitshow as there would be nothing to prevent every Soviet soldier from running with ppsh41 and every German soldier stg44.
What are you on about? The solothurn is an incredible AT rifle and it’s br1, sturmpanzer is incredibly strong and never belonged in br2 to begin with, i don’t really see anything wrong with the scotti naval rifle either. It’s damage is insane for an AR. Not everything has to be top tier that comes out. But germany has had lot’s of great things come to them.
