I clearly already own a chauchat squad from over a year ago.
Every other squad has checks for the store item to disappear, so unless i’m getting an entirely new second squad of this, you’re essentially gonna scam people out of $50 if they expect a second squad

So you’re saying the item in the second picture, isn’t the same as the first one? A four man squad with Chauchats labeled as 133rd Infantry Division 521st Infantry Regiment? With the same exact description of the one I purchased, I believe, during the CBT or right after it. Also, at no point does it mention that it’s for a gift, as it’s in Logistics in game.
To add onto it, the MG30 is the same way, being able to be sold in logistics, and they were offered only in a bundle in the store on the website a year ago.
you can because on this specific squads the ones from OBT are 5 star soldier squads and this ones are like a “new” squad.
you can buy second one on this specific one, and have 2 of them on lineup.

CBT one was a 5 star by default one (actually was costumisable befor) . after cbt its a generic 4 man squad as old premium squads are.

This is why I feel this game is going in the wrong direction. Instead of fixing how older premium squads work, they’d rather bloat the game with “new” squads with the exact same setup. The more they fuck up, especially considering it’s real money, the less they can go back on this stuff.

i purchased my mg30 squad during Closed beta test, and mg30 was avaiable for me and everyone that did purchase it , to be purchased since CBT .
they have diferent identifications on game code, coz CBT one was a 5 star soldier by default and open beta test ones come as 4 star.
i could , since day 1 obt own 2 mg 30 squads, i choosed not too coz i feel there is no need.
this is “understandable” coz is the same squad by what we see, but isnt on game code

I wouldn’t mind leveling the squad though to prevent there being two of them. People have suggested a long time ago giving Premium Squads the same sort of progression as the normal squads. It actually makes it easier to focus on when you’re trying to grind out that squad. Aside from the XP boost (which is useless in endgame) the only thing that’s worth buying in them are the weapons and the uniforms (if they’re unique). I’m worried that if they ever do upgrade older squads, then will they forget one or the other? Or would there be any difference after that update?
you cant gift squads from game logistics tab. you can only gift squads on gaijin webpage. aka bundles for example

if you purchase current mg30 squad, even if you didnt had the cbt one, waste some bronze to upgrade the soldiers and they are exacly the same
its just a diferent ID for the same squad. 1 comes as 5 star by default, other as 4 star.
if they somehow work on old squads, the CBT squad will be the one that ill be forgoten i m certain.

Honestly, if they do this, they should refund the price for one of them. Otherwise, it’s a great way for them to say they don’t care about their long-staying players.
