AI squad mates should be able to use cover effectively with proper AI mapping, utilizing windows, short walls, and sandbags for strategic cover.
Non-rifleman squadmates should be able to use the same guns as the squad they are put in. For example, an engineer in an LMG squad should be able to use an LMG as long as they are in that squad.
Bomber planes should be given bomber sights as they did in real life to enhance accuracy and make them more viable in the game. Relying solely on gunner sights can make bombers less effective and prone to crashing.
AI squad mate behavior should be improved to face the enemy direction and not randomly turn around. This, alongside other minor improvements, should enhance squad viability and increase AI and player cohesion.
If there’s more you’d like to add feel free to chime in.
What you’re suggesting would defeat the purpose of squads in the first place. What I’m suggesting improves upon squads that are dedicated to its certain task. What you’re suggesting defeats the purpose of having dedicated squads to begin with and doesn’t solve the problem. An example for my argument is the squads you can buy outright have this feature already. Take the purchasable German lmg squad their engineers have lmgs.
Well for my non-rifleman idea about having the same guns the squad they’re in you could already do that with premium squads you can purchase so I didn’t really see much of a problem with it and rationally speaking it would be realistic that the members of a squad match the criteria and specifications of the squad they’re in. It’s a hot take but it’s a it’s one I’ll honestly stand by.
The game needs this, there is no way to learn when to drop bombs except for yeeting them until you got a lucky hit often enough to recognize a pattern. Bombs are arguably the least beginner-friendly weapon in the game - and even when you think you’ve figured them out, you will change your flying pattern from plane to plane as you grind through the progression and the bombs will fall differently based on momentum, timing in your ordnance rotation and altitude.
I suggest a bombing scope as well as the grey crosshair known from tank and AT guns that shows you where your shot will actually land - or in this new case, your bomb.
